"Let's go." The bar was called The Howling Moon, and it was everything a werewolf bar should be—lively, loud, and filled with the warm, earthy scent of whiskey and wood smoke. Music blared from speakers in the corner, and pack members crowded around tables, laughing and drinking and enjoying the night. But the moment I stepped through the door, the atmosphere shifted. All eyes turned to me. I felt their gazes like physical weight, curious and assessing and not entirely friendly. Whispers rippled through the crowd as people recognized me—the mysterious newcomer, the half-blood, the woman who had the Alphas and the King stirred up.

I muttered, straightening my shoulders and pushing open the grimy door. The moment I stepped inside, the cacophony of voices died down. Heads turned, eyes widening as they recognized me. The crowd parted like the Red Sea, creating a clear path to the bar. I could smell fear mixed with awe, and it sent a thrill through me. "That's right, kiddies," I thought. "Daddy's little girl is here, and she's not in the mood for games." I strode purposefully to the bar, my heels clicking against the sticky floor. The bartender, a grizzled old werewolf named Gus, was already reaching for the bottle of hellfire whiskey he kept stashed under the counter for whenever my father or I came knocking.

“The Blackwood pup is about to awaken! A stage has been set up at the Sacred Ridge so everyone can witness the birth of a Divine Werewolf—a once-in-a-century event! If you don’t head over now, you’ll miss it!” The Beta tore free from my hand and disappeared into the crowd. “This isn’t right!” Kaeren scooped me up with ease and flew toward the Sacred Ridge. The air smelled like alcohol, roasted meat, and poor decisions. “This is my favorite place in the world,” Kira announced, heading straight for the bar. They found a table…well, Marcus physically moved several drunk wolves to make a table available and settled in. A server appeared almost immediately, a young wolf with purple hair and more piercings than seemed structurally sound.

“We’re looking for the guy who owns this switchblade?” Bets looked at the switchblade, and her eyes widened. Then she looked over to a group of guys who were by far the loudest in the bar. They were all wearing jackets with a werewolf insignia that matched the switchblade. I scanned the group and counted about twenty of them. I gauged I could take six myself, give or take five, but I wasn’t sure about the rest of them.

I knew that every town had a bad part. I rolled my eyes at Tommy. He always saw me as sweet and innocent. “Tommy, I’m well aware of the darker elements of town. I’ve snuck into Howlers before. Howlers was a seedy werewolf run bar. They had club nights on the weekends and were pretty much the only place in town. Despite the name, the humans in town still didn’t know that it was run by a werewolf, or that we even really existed.

And now that it has finally gotten out, it’s putting all its energy at pulling every part of the man. And when the wolf got satisfied at putting its anger towards the man. It immediately thought of going to the place where they were supposed to live. It was about to run, but before he can do that, Peter came who’s in a flash got to the wolf’s side. And Peter immediately stabbed the syringe he was carrying, containing sleeping pills and wolfsbane herb. A herb that can effectively weaken a werewolf. But one dose of it is not enough to put Jax’s wolf down. So Peter immediately followed with two more pricks of syringes to the body of the wolf.

“Of course, Mother. I will bring your golden child home in one piece with no irreputable woman on his arm.” Five hours later I am standing in parking lot looking at the shithole bar my brother insisted that we come to. It looks like it was built with whatever spare wood they could pick up for free. Several different colors of siding line the sides of the building and iron bars cover the windows that are already broken and covered with plywood. A crudely painted wolf howling at the moon hangs above the door with a neon sign that is flickering ‘The Wolf’s Den,’ except the only letters that are still lit up are the ‘W’ and the ‘D.’

Sam (POV) I was sitting in a local bar near the pack house, everyone in here was a werewolf and it was known all over the pack that this was the place where you could come to have a little fun or in my case a little misery. It was not the most outrageous bar you would see around the city. It was well hidden between different big buildings as the werewolf community wanted it to be away from any prying eyes of humans or vampires, so strictly a werewolf bar. The bartender was an old friend of mine and right now was attending a few of the hot she wolves serving them their poison.
