EVELINE The Timber and Tonic bar was a lively pocket of nightlife. It sat on the edge of the forest road, where trees met the city lights. A large neon sign stood atop it, with its name written in cursive, stylized with wolf fangs. And as Eveline killed the engine of the borrowed scooter, she realized the patrons were mostly, if not all, werewolves. Some wore tight jeans and leather, laughing and shoving each other playfully. Others wore little clothing, their eyes glowing in the dark and their fangs flashing when they grinned. Their scents all mingled with the fresh forest, and she almost wished she could shift.

Chapter 3 I found myself at a bar, “The Thirsty Wolf.” The neon sign flickered overhead like some cosmic joke. Real wolves drowning their sorrows at a bar with a wolf in its name – the Moon Goddess must be laughing her ass off right now. I checked my reflection in the darkened window. Mascara smeared under my eyes, hair wild from running. At least I still had my fancy blazer on, even if it was wrinkled. Just another corporate girl having a rough night, not a newly rejected werewolf whose entire life had imploded.

When the elderly wolf entered the dark space lighted only by candles and handmade wax lamps, he still wore his cowboy style hat, which covered his silver white hair, and provided a dark shield for his pupils which carefully looked from left to right while he made his way to the bar. Though the sun was shining brightly outside, it's rays were unable to penetrate the thick dirt walls of the hut, making the inside cool, dark, safe and homely for its pale occupants, and their fellow werewolf drinking partners. The smell of burning smoke, alcohol, blood and red meat all melted into the closed space like an unavoidable stench which threatened to hang on its visitors' clothes upon exiting the place

The walls are adorned with digital displays showcasing the past achievements of Riverbay warriors, instilling a sense of pride and motivation. At the heart of The Elysium lies the expansive cafeteria, known as The Howling Hearth. Its design mimics the shape of a great wolf’s den, with rounded edges and high ceilings that create an inviting communal space. The cafeteria features a large, central cooking area where a rotating team of chefs prepares nutritious, gourmet meals tailored to the dietary needs of werewolves.

“The guy I met last weekend — umm, what's his name again? Barry or maybe Larry, shit I can’t remember his name, but he just didn't do it for me—Maybe I just need to meet the right guy.” AWOOOO! A loud howl ripped through the silent night, startling the girls. The werewolf was pissed, how dare this Barry or Larry touched her. How dare he sampled what rightfully belonged to him. He told himself if he ever got his paws on this filthy guy, his head would roll, literally. It howled again, louder this time. “What the hell was that?” Katherine asked as she grabbed onto her friend.

But if not that, then at least I hoped to get some information from a bartender or regular in the bar who knew of some witches. I chose a bar at the end of the street. The windows were blacked out. That would likely be a good place for a witch to do business, I thought to myself. We opened the door and I recoiled. The stench was offensive. A table of werewolves eyed me as I walked across the sticky floor to the bar. The bartender flashed me a smile. My eyes were still adjusting to the darkness. The bar wasn’t very busy. A couple full tables. Two men sitting way over, down at the end of the bar.

I say but don't hear anything. "I Have been waiting for so many years to finally beable to meet you, my beautiful human. I am your wolf, My name is Star. Max and his human , Rick are our mate that our mother, the Moon Goddess has blessed us with. It's finally time for you to know exactly whoyou are ment to be. I am very sorry but our first shift is going to be painful. This is the other reason for our mate to be close. He will help and guid you through." My wolf says. Wow!! the fact that I can literally speak to MY WOLF in my mind is just WOW!

Holy shit, I worked longer than I wanted too but this comes first. The cozy atmosphere of the place usually helped me clear my mind, and I had a few hours before Clive would return. As I entered the bar, the familiar scent of old books and the low hum of conversation greeted me. Dave, who occasionally helped me manage the place, was behind the counter, polishing glasses with an eerie precision. I approached Dave, who always seemed to be in the know about supernatural happenings, and leaned against the bar. “Dave,” I began, my voice low, “have you heard anything about a werewolf emergency in the territory?”

“I guess I have to go,” I said quickly. I foolishly took steps at a normal human speed. As a result, Justin managed to stop me again and get in my way. “Are you a wolvire?” Justin asked suddenly. I looked at him confused. “My name is Bara, not Wolvire.” Justin patted his forehead like he was out of mind because of my foolishness. “I mean ‘wolvire’; stands for wolf-vampire.”
