When It's Valentine's Day 소설 & 이야기

Joanna's POV Christmas flew by together with the new year and It was now February, so you see what I meant by fast as it wasn't even January rather it was February with my birthday less than a week away. Well It was *Valentine's* day today and yes I said it that way because everyone around me in the school halls were being all lovey dovey with each other. And please don't give me that weird look, I wasn't against it, but I would have really loved if the horny teenagers could tone it down to a minimum, because seeing them grinding in the halls and hearing sucking noises were not my thing. Actually, thinking about all that right now makes me want to puke.

After driving through the streets of Barangay Dyes, Vince parked right in front of the first place he said where they would meet. Dear Xania, I don't know what happened to you and the reason why you can't come to our school. I hope you're safe and doing okay by now. Well whatever it is, I hope you can tell me once we meet. This coming Saturday is actually February 14, which is Valentine's day, and I am inviting you for us to have fun. Don't think of it as a date, but maybe a way for us to know each other better. Also to have fun.

Nolan said with a grin, “It’s February 14 tomorrow, Valentine’s Day.” Maisie’s heart was on fire, and it was racing. It was an indescribable feeling. ‘I, someone who’s never looked forward to marriage, actually look forward to it all of a sudden now. ‘Maybe it’s because of him.’

I turned the key into the latch and barged into the house. Red and white balloons are decorated everywhere, it was Valentine's day and I was so excited to celebrate it with him. We would play video games, cook together, and dance to romantic music as we do every Valentine. But this year Valentine was different and a little too cold for a romantic day. My Romeo was not in the room or the library so I decided to check in the kitchen. There were few murmurs in the kitchen. I decided to eavesdrop when I saw my best friend on his lap holding a glass of wine.

It’s Valentine's Day and I feel miserable. Suddenly, an idea forms in my head. Quickly, I get up and put on a beautiful red dress. Then I brush my hair, dab on some makeup and put on my huge sunglasses that almost hide my face.

“Harry, why are you hitting a little girl? If people find out, it won’t make us look good. Why don’t we make a bet for five hundred thousand?” Harry seemed interested. “Sounds fun. What’s the bet?” The man smiled meaningfully and replied, “It’s Valentine’s Day. Let’s see if she can sell 200 roses at the night market.” Everyone laughed in response. “Someone who can’t even talk selling flowers? Are you serious?” “Come on, man. You’re not planning on letting her go, are you?” I thought that I would be rescued, but I ended up in a worse situation instead. When Harry saw how hopeless I looked, he quickly agreed to the bet.

On Valentine's Day, I waited for my husband at the restaurant where he had made a reservation. My heart was full of love. I had just become pregnant with our baby. Suddenly, eight women barged into the restaurant. The one leading the charge was a woman dressed in a halter top, tight leather pants, and stilettos. The waiter approached them, “Hello, miss. Do you have a reservation? I’m afraid we are fully booked for the night.” The woman shoved the waiter away and hissed, “Move! I’m here to catch my boyfriend in the act!

FIRST ROSE "HELLO, Miss Beautiful!" Vincent called out when he found Isla in the kitchen, busy washing dishes. "Hi, Sir Vince," Isla replied, her voice soft as she acknowledged him. At that moment, Vincent moved closer, grabbing a glass and filling it with cold water from the refrigerator. “Valentine's Day is coming up. Do you have a date yet?” he asked, his gaze lingering on Isla’s beautiful face. Isla glanced at him shyly before offering a small smile. “No, I don’t. I’m not really thinking about those things right now. I don’t have time for dates,” she explained.

He replied. "Now all your wishes are fulfilled or do you have to buy something else, tell me, I buy everything now." I say 'no' while shaking my head. He turned back shrugging his shoulders. It's not a coincidence. On Valentine's Day I have got to celebrate every single day like rose day, chocolate day and teddy day that too with Samuel. "Baby our first Valentine's will not be incomplete. I’ll make this Valentine's Day, a memorable moment of our life." I yelled in mind.

Today was a busy day. It just so happened to be Valentine's Day and couples were coming in and out. Loved ones sharing this happy day with each other. I was gonna be working double shifts today and tomorrow so I was gonna be on my feet for a long period of hours. But I don't complain, the money's good.
