His attention went back to the screen and I turned mine to his book shelf to look for something to read. Vampires. Werewolfs. Romance. Teen Fiction. Mystery. Thriller. Historical. He's got a lot of books. Xavier's POV I looked at Royalty as she looked through my bookshelf for something to read. I knew girls rather shop than read and I found it quite interesting for a girl to be a bookworm. I was feeling something for her but I couldn't put my finger on it. I was slowly starting to enjoy being around her. I got up without making a sound.

Xander read out the book title as he pinned me against the shelves. "I am not into dark romance. Why are you here and not with your precious lover?" I hissed at him not liking how close we were. His eyes had a fleeting emotion I could not read that quickly disappeared.

It's just an effing book not a fucking time bomb, calm down Rica, she tried to assure herself but her heart kept pounding even more so because Xavier was now able to read her like an open book. She had feared that he would almost coax the truth out of her but thankfully he didn't. She shook away those thoughts. She needed to read this book and hopefully, hopefully, she will know more about her powers.
