His powers would have been utterly spent by the time he had used them. The Devil's Three Turns was his single most destructive magic. It allows its user the power to defeat any enemy at the level of the Nascent Soul Realm or even anyone fresh into the levels of the Nirvana Realm. But it was a double-edged blade; he could only use this particular magic only at the gravest of time, otherwise, he would have to risk losing his own life. Similarly, he would also avoid using the Heaven's Talisman technique for fear of being corrupted more and more frequently.

And I stood there— phone still pressed to my ear— knowing with absolute certainty— that I'd just made a deal with the devil. Or something worse

I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

However, he was not for her and had been playing with her to get what he wanted all along. It had been awful seeing him with someone she thought was her friend. It did not startle Janice when it happened, since she knew he would eventually leave like the others. She had prepared for the day he'd say the same things others had said. Though it hurts, she was glad she didn't give herself to him. Because that would have been the worst. She wouldn't be able to look him in the eyes, neither would she be able to stare at her supposed friend. Yet, the person she had willingly given herself was the devil himself.

The man informed to his boss right on the time. The man on the other side just let out a chuckle which didn't fail to give chills to the people beside him. It was scary, his laugh! It was more scary than a viper. No wonder they call him HADES!, The Devil. "Hmm, she's missing? Right when I'm finding her, Interesting! Very interesting!" his smirk widened as he leaned against his chair majestically after hanging up the phone. "Please, Spare me. I'm sorry I wouldn't try to spy on you again. I wouldn't even live in this country anymore. Please I beg you."

He turns the stairs wondering if Christian will run down to sit beside his now awake sister but after a few seconds he reclines more to the thought that he might be sleeping. He turns to them again and then nods to acknowledge Laurel as she gulps, nodding back…soft but acknowledging. He opts to sit beside Gabriel, now facing the family with a questionary eye. The devil and the healer. Feels like judgment day. “Hi, Laurel, do you know who I am?” he leans forward after getting a reassuring nod from Gabriel. Laurel nods.

She knew Darren was ruthless and heartless but he wouldn't kill anyone—So she believed. Jonathan on the other hand wasn't a liar, she had seen everything with her own eyes. “There has to be some kind of misunderstanding,” Emery wasn't ready to accept this yet, she had to find out the Truth herself. The bang on the door increased, it sent shivers down her spine. Emery couldn't face Darren now at least not now. “Darren is the devil himself, he could read your thoughts!” Jonathan's voice was laced with words, each word from him etched deeply in her heart.
