CHAPTER 95: WELCOME BACK.

LIANA'S POV.

"What is it, ma'am? Is something wrong?" I asked. I didn't know if she was triggered by something or by me.

"Aunty D, are you okay?" Trevor approached quickly and held her by the shoulder. She kept her gaze on me, looking intently.

"Aunty D?" Trevor called, with a bit more concern in his tone.

She inhaled sharply, snapping out of whatever that was. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. A memory just popped in my head. That's all."

CHAPTER 95: WELCOME BACK.LIANA'S POV. "What is it, ma'am? Is something wrong?" I asked. I didn't know if she was triggered by something or by me."Aunty D, are you okay?" Trevor approached quickly and held her by the shoulder. She kept her gaze on me, looking intently. "Aunty D?" Trevor called, with a bit more concern in his tone. She inhaled sharply, snapping out of whatever that was. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. A memory just popped in my head. That's all." "You had us worried for a bit," Trevor remarked, sighing in relief. "Don't worry, I'm okay," Debbie smiled. She turned and smiled at me, but there was still that look in her eyes. I couldn't tell what it was. 'It's nothing. I shouldn't be overthinking this.' I shrugged it off. "Mr Vanderholt. I am so sorry for the poor reception you've received. Were we made aware of your arrival, I would have personally been there to receive such a dignified guest as you," a man casually dressed said as he walked hastily and met us. "I presum

CHAPTER 94: EMOTIONAL REUNION.LIANA'S POV."What's in his room?" I asked Boraz, tilting my head toward him as I tried to keep my voice low."Spencer currently has two underage immigrant girls in his room." My eyes widened as I turned and looked at Boraz. He pursed his lips, having a look of disgust on his face. I clenched my fists, trying my best to suppress a tempestuous rage that welled up in me.I felt like walking over to him, grabbing him by the neck, and snuffing out his miserable life. Not only was he an accomplice to trafficking and embezzlement of public funds, but he was also a paedophile — a sexual offender. He disgusted me.Shortly after, Trevor walked away from Spencer, leaving him miserable with fear. His other companions walked over to him, and it was obvious they asked him what the matter was, but he pushed them aside, pacing back and forth."Got what you wanted, Boss?" Boraz asked. "I did," he answered. "Set our course for the Spring Day Asylum.""Okay, Boss," Bor

CHAPTER 93: FINDING DEBBIE.TREVOR'S POV. "Boss, we've confirmed his current location," Bora informed me, turning his head as he looked back. "Good!" I nodded. "We'll head there right after we've taken Liana home." "Uh, what? Why am I being taken home?" she asked. I saw that she looked genuinely surprised and displeased as well."Because you need to be home. Besides, it is meant to be your day off, so you need to get some rest," I responded. "Then what about finding the former Matron, sir?" she asked, her voice becoming firm."We'll take care of it. I'll make sure that I get Debbie out of that asylum."I am sure that you will, sir. I have no doubt. But not without me," she said resolutely."There's no need to get involved," I protested nevertheless."Sir, it's a little too late for that. It was by my inquisitiveness that we were able to get to this point. Making me sit this out and not being able to see this to the end, don't you think so, sir?" As I looked at her, Boraz chipped

CHAPTER 92: TWO DAYS? Mario was fast asleep as he lay sprawled in bed, with his blanket just barely above his waistline. He was sweating profusely despite the air conditioner being on, and the fan in his room swinging at full speed. He was even shirtless. The sound of his doorbell was what startled him, causing him to jerk awake. He was hit with a surge of migraine, causing him to squint, steadying himself for a bit. The doorbell rang again, so he forced himself up as he tossed aside the blanket. He staggered as he was up, his head swirling. He managed to steady himself as he placed his hand on the wall. He then continued to his living room as the doorbell was being rung incessantly. "I'm coming," he said as he walked down the stairs. He knocked his foot against the edge of his table, causing him to stumble. The table almost crashed down, but he quickly caught it before it could fall. But some items tumbled down. He furrowed his brow slightly as he saw that the leg of

CHAPTER 91: FANTASY.TREVOR'S POV. I blinked as I looked at him, trying my best to hide how nervous I had gotten. "B— But that was just a lie that Boraz came up with in the heat of the moment, wasn't it?" I asked."Oh, was it now?" he replied calmly, with a malicious smirk. I got even more nervous at this point. He intentionally began undoing the buttons of his shirt, causing my eyes to pop wide open. I gulped out of anxiety, but I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Even though his chest was sort of hairy, I could still clearly see the features of his well-defined, Greek godlike sculpted body. His hair was clustered together in bits, sticking to his skin due to the slimy liquid that had made contact with him repeatedly. Nevertheless, it was too hard to resist looking at him. With the palm of my hand, I fanned myself, looking around. "Phew! Is it just me, or is it suddenly getting hot in here?" My eyes darted around but still fell back on Trevor. My dirty mind took me back to the

CHAPTER 90: NO ULTERIOR MOTIVE.TREVOR'S POV.Clenching my fists, I tightened my jaws, infuriated and stunned by everything I was told. In anger, I slammed my fist into one of the lockers. It got dented, barely hanging on to one of the hinges."I knew there was something off about her right from the moment I met her. I see through her smile, and perceive the malicious intent behind it. But I would have never thought it was to this degree — to this depth!" "She is unfit to run a place like this," I added. "She never was to begin with. I was confused when I saw her welcoming us, instead of Debbie. Now I understand why," I said, reminiscing on the past."She disgusts me! I have had a hard time staying normal around that- that bitch! I've just been waiting to hit eighteen and get out of here, and try to do something about it." The girl added."That was a smart move. Waiting for the opportune time to strike," I remarked. "Mother gave her the job that has kept her here, only for her to b
