Gabriella's POV

In one swoop I was in his arms as he walked towards a different door. I helped him open it and there was an inner room with a more simple yet luxurious decor.

He dropped me on the bed, towering over me as he threw his shirt to a corner of the room and then his hands moved to his belt.

I moved my hands to my side, trying to get my dress zipper open, just for him to grab my hands in a tight grip.

"Don't." His voice was deep now and husky. "I'll peel every piece of clothing off you with my own hands."

I gulped but the force in his voice heated my body in more ways than one.

I rested back and the now shirtless man crawled over me, taking my lips in a fierce hold.

"Tigrotta." He kissed his way down my neck. "Do you know my name?"

"Huh?"

My head was already foggy, the sensations paired with the dim light and the warmth of his skin leaving me a little brain dead.

"I asked if you know the name of the man that is going to take you to heaven and back."

I felt pressure at the side of my dress

He ripped it. The zipper.

"Ahh—" I tried sitting up only to get pushed back down. "What did you do that for?"

He ignored me completely, carefully unhooked the straps at my shoulders and peeled the dress away like he was unwrapping something fragile and valuable.

There was no rush in his hands. No urgency. Just deliberate, unhurried reverence that made my chest tighten in a way I hadn't expected.

Davis had never once looked at me like I was worth slowing down for.

I shoved the thought away as quickly as it came.

"I probably should have asked your name before I jumped into your arms." I laughed awkwardly as the dress slid off completely, leaving me in my wine lace bra and matching barely-there panties.

He leaned back.

Just looked at me.

His gaze dragged slowly over the curve of my breasts pushed up by the lace, down to the thin fabric barely covering me, then swept across my thighs. His chest rose and fell heavier. A low sound escaped his throat — hunger and something close to reverence — and heat flooded my cheeks even as a curl of smug satisfaction twisted in my core.

He was captivated. By me. Just me.

"Mariano." He said after a long beat. "My name is Mariano."

I played with it on my lips and let a slow smirk form.

"Now I have a name to scream."

His mouth curved into something predatory before he lowered himself over me again.

His kiss this time was slower. Deeper. His tongue slid against mine with deliberate strokes as his hands roamed up my sides and cupped my breasts through the lace. He squeezed gently, thumbs circling until my nipples hardened, then tugged the cups down and bent his head to take one between his lips.

"Mariano—" The word came out breathless.

He was unhurried and thorough, switching sides, his mouth warm and patient while pleasure sparked straight through me. Every pull of his lips sent heat pooling between my thighs. I threaded my fingers into his hair and held him there, not thinking about Davis, not thinking about Vegas or contracts or any of it.

Just this.

Just him.

He kissed down my stomach, hooked his fingers into my panties and eased them off slowly until I lay completely bare. He settled between my thighs, his broad shoulders nudging them wider, and traced one finger along my center.

I gasped.

"So ready for me, Tigrotta." His voice was low as he slid one finger inside, then two, curling them in a way that made my back lift off the sheets. His thumb worked slow circles against my clit, pressure building and building until I shattered around his hand with a cry I couldn't have swallowed if I tried.

He gave me only a moment before his mouth replaced his fingers. I gripped the sheets. His tongue was unhurried and devastating, learning me like he had all the time in the world while I came completely undone against his lips.

By the time he rose up and shed the rest of his clothes I was trembling and boneless and entirely sure I had lost my mind.

He positioned himself at my entrance and met my eyes.

"Look at me."

I did.

He pushed in slowly, inch by inch, and the stretch burned sharp enough to make me wince and dig my nails into his shoulders.

He stopped. Completely still.

He kissed my lips. Then my jaw. Then the curve of my neck, murmuring my nickname against my skin like a low steady anchor while he waited. No impatience. No pressure. Just him holding himself in check entirely for me.

The ache softened gradually into fullness. Into something that made my breath hitch for an entirely different reason.

I pushed the thought away but it left something behind — a quiet reckless gratitude that had nothing to do with revenge anymore and everything to do with the man above me who had asked twice if I was sure.

"Mariano." His name came out soft. Permission and plea at once.

He began to move.

Long slow strokes that dragged against every sensitive place, his hands pinning mine above my head as he found a steady rhythm. The coil built low and tight and I wrapped my legs around his waist pulling him deeper until the tension crested and broke, my whole body clenching as I cried out his name into the dim room.

He pressed his forehead to mine, both of us breathing hard.

After a moment he shifted, turning me gently onto my stomach with firm hands at my hips. "On your knees, Tigrotta."

The new angle was overwhelming. Deeper. His hand reached around to work my clit as he moved and I stopped thinking entirely — no Davis, no parents, no contracts, no Vegas — just Mariano's low groan against the back of my neck and the pleasure pulling me completely under until I shook through one final release, gasping his name into the pillow.

He followed shortly after, pulling back and spilling against my skin with a rough exhale before collapsing beside me and pulling my spent body into his arms.

The room was quiet. My whole body felt liquid and warm.

"Tigrotta."

"Mm?"

His thumb traced idle circles on my shoulder. "You alright?"

I stared at the ceiling, chest still rising and falling. A laugh slipped out before I could catch it — soft and a little disbelieving.

"Ask me again in the morning."

I felt him smile against my hair.

Gabriella's POV "Gabriella." Davis stepped directly toward me, his face tight. His voice was low, fast, and urgent. "You are making a massive scene in front of the board members. Please. Stop talking right now.""Why should I stop?" I asked him, staring back at him. "Because I am telling the absolute truth to their faces? Because I am saying out loud what every single person here is thinking in secret?"Davis reached out and grabbed my upper arm with his hand. His grip was incredibly tight, his fingers digging into my skin through the fabric of my black dress. "You are making a fatal mistake right now, Gabriella.""Let go of my arm immediately," I said, glaring at his fingers."Gabriella, listen to me—""I said let go of me, Davis."He slowly released his grip, dropping his hand back to his side. His face was bright red with embarrassment, and his jaw muscle was twitching violently. But he did not say another word to me in front of the guests.I turned my back on him, walked straight

  • One Night Stand With My Future Uncle In Law    SIXTY SEVEN

Gabriella's POV We stepped out of our car and walked inside the front doors. The main foyer was completely packed with guests. People were standing around in tight clusters, talking to one another in low, hushed whispers. I recognized several of their faces from the grand family gathering that had occurred weeks ago. Others in the crowd were complete strangers to me. All of them looked exactly like they belonged to a wealthy corporate world that I did not understand at all.A uniformed servant appeared in front of us, offering refreshments from a silver tray. My mother took a glass of water. My father shook his head in refusal. Raphael stepped up right beside me, placing his hand firmly on my lower back."Stay very close to me," he whispered in my ear. "Do not wander off alone into the rooms.""I will not leave your side," I promised him.Suddenly, Davis appeared from the middle of the crowd. He was wearing a dark black suit, a white silk tie, and a very somber, sad expression on his

Gabriella's POV I nodded my head. "I know. I will be very careful around him."My mother stood up from the mattress. "There is something else you need to know. Something I need to tell you before tomorrow morning.""What is it?" I asked, looking up at her."The senior members of the Castillo family are holding a public memorial service for Mariano tomorrow," she explained. "It is a massive public event. Everyone connected to the family business is expected to attend."I felt my stomach drop with sudden nausea. "A memorial service? He is not even dead, Mom. The authorities have not even found an actual body in the river.""I know that," she said, her voice dropping. "But Davis's faction wants to move forward immediately. They want to show the public a sense of total unity. They want to present a strong financial front to the investors.""Whose specific idea was this?""It is Davis's branch of the family. They are the ones who are actively pushing for the service. They want to official

  • One Night Stand With My Future Uncle In Law    SIXTY FIVE

Gabriella's POVMy mother sat on the edge of my mattress with her hands tightly clasped together in her lap and her eyes fixed directly on my face. She looked exactly like she was bracing her entire body for a piece of terrible news. I did not blame her for that reaction at all. I had just told her that a man whom the entire city believed to be dead was actually breathing, and that her own daughter had been intentionally lying to everyone in the family for days."Tell me everything, Gabriella," she said. Her voice sounded steady, but I could see the visible tension tightening the muscles in her shoulders. "From the very beginning of the incident. Do not leave a single detail out of the story."I took a deep breath, expanded my lungs, and started talking to her. I told her about the high-speed car crash and the loud explosion that followed it. I described the exact moment Vincent had pulled Mariano's body out from the burning wreckage right before the fire consumed the entire vehicle.

Gabriella's POV "Mariano," I said, and the moment his name left my lips, I started crying. I could not control the emotional reaction. The tears came out fast, hot, and heavy, streaming down my face. "Oh my god, Mariano. You are okay. You are really alive.""I am fine, Tigrotta," he said through the speaker. His voice sounded much weaker and more breathless than usual, but he was speaking to me. He was breathing. He was functional. "I am so sorry I was unable to call your line sooner. I have been trying to get a secure cellular signal from this location for three days.""I do not care about that," I said, wiping my cheeks with my free hand. "I do not care how many days it took you. You are alive. That is the single thing that matters to me in this world.""I am alive," he confirmed, letting out a low grunt of pain as he shifted. "I am badly hurt, but I am alive.""Where exactly are you staying?" I asked, leaning forward on the mattress. "Can I come to the location to see you?""No,"

Gabriella's POV "But I am not broken down," I said, my jaw tightening. "I am angry.""I know you are strong," Raphael said, squeezing my hand again to calm me. "But Davis does not need to know that. He must never suspect it. I know this is incredibly difficult for you. I know every instinct in your body wants to fight him openly. I know you want to tell our parents and the world the absolute truth about his character. But you cannot do it. Not yet. There are far too many powerful people involved in this conspiracy. Too many people who want Mariano buried permanently.""What do you mean by that?" I asked, my heart hammering against my ribs. "Who else is involved?"Raphael glanced quickly over his shoulder at our parents. They were completely distracted. The distant sound of clinking porcelain came from the kitchen where my mother was working. My father was still staring silently out the front window, lost in his own thoughts."Someone very high up inside the Castillo family structure
