“Miss, we have arrived.”

Tracy heard someone saying, and she opened her eyes slowly. When she saw that she was in a car, she was stunned.

‘What is happening?’ Tracy wondered as her eyes started roaming around.

She met the driver’s gaze through the rear-view mirror, stunning her.

“Uncle Stephen?” she called out, startling the man.

“Miss, is everything alright?” the driver asked as he had noticed that she didn’t seem fine.

‘Why am I here?’ Tracy wondered before her gaze fell on the clothes she was wearing. ‘This outfit,’ she mumbled before panicking.

“What’s the date today?” she asked, eagerness and panic in her tone, causing the man to frown. However, he soon concluded that maybe she didn’t know the date, as she was from the countryside.

“Sixth of April two thousand and fifteen,” the driver said, staring at Tracy. He saw the shock and disbelief on her face.

Tracy pinched her arm so hard, then yelped out in pain.

She looked out of the car and saw the environment. She hurriedly walked out. “I was reborn twenty years ago when I was brought back to the Grants family,” she mumbled in disbelief.

Tears filled her eyes, but she didn’t dare let them fall down.

“Miss, the family is waiting for you,” the butler said as he walked towards her.

Tracy straightened her back, looked up at the man, and nodded. She then followed him in.

Just like her past life, everyone was seated in the living room waiting for her. Eve sat between her family. Seeing this, she inwardly sneered as she understood what the latter wanted her to think.

She looked at her father, who was staring at her expressionlessly, then turned to her mother. She saw pain, heartache, and longing in her eyes, stunning her.

She didn’t recall seeing any of those emotions in the woman’s eyes, but she didn’t think too much, as at that time, she had been preoccupied with the mansion’s decorations. She had kept looking around, giving everyone the vibe that she was illiterate, a country pumpkin who didn’t know the world.

This time, she had not looked around and concentrated on the people in front of her, so she saw what she had missed the last time.

“Tracy, right?” her mother asked as she stood up.

“Mom, I…” Eve started speaking, tears in her eyes, causing the woman who had just taken some steps to her halt and turn to Eve.

“Yes, that’s my name. Are you my mother?” Tracy suddenly replied, cutting Eve’s words.

‘How can I give you a chance, mmh?’ Tracy wondered as she flashed Eve a cold look before turning an innocent expression when her mother turned around.

“Yes, I am. I am sorry that you have suffered outside. I didn’t know that…” the woman said as she teared up, making Tracy sigh.

“I am here now. We can spend time together and recover the time lost,” Tracy said with a weak smile on her face.

“Yes, yes. Alaine, why are you crying? She is now back, and we will give her everything she deserves and even what she was supposed to get,” her father said as he rose and walked to his wife.

Tracy watched everything with a smile on her face. Her father seemed not to like her at all; he had not even said anything to her since she walked in. His eyes were only on his wife and Eve.

“Sister, it’s good you are back. My name is Eve, Eve Grant,” Eve said as she walked towards Tracy. She didn’t like seeing her parents giving Tracy all the attention and neglected her. Wasn’t she the one who had lived with them for more than seventeen years? Shouldn’t she be the one loved most?

“Sister? I heard that my mother gave birth to only one child. How come you are my sister?” Tracy asked, feigning innocence, confusion, and a puzzled look in her eyes.

“I…I…” Eve tried explaining, but she just felt so ashamed to admit her background.

“Absurd! She said she is your sister, so she is!” her father shouted at her.

Tracy took steps backwards, then started shaking. “I am sorry, please don’t beat me. I didn’t do anything…I…I just wanted to know how she is, my sister,” she said, startling everyone.

They looked at her actions, and the fear in her eyes didn’t look fake.

“See what you have done!” Alaine said, glaring at her husband, whose eyes were still on Tracy.

“She is pretending,” he replied coldly, causing Tracy to take more steps backwards.

“If you dare open your mouth, believe me when I say you will sleep in the living room today,” Alaine replied before looking at Tracy, her eyes filled with love, pain, and affection.

She knew that, given how her daughter had reacted, she really didn’t have a good life.

“Sweetie, let them be. She is the girl whom I brought back home after I gave birth. The one swapped at birth with you,” Alaine said softly as she tried to reach Tracy’s hands, but she was afraid that it would startle Tracy.

“The one who stole my life? My seventeen years?” Tracy asked as she stared at her mother before glancing at Eve, who was still frozen, when she heard how her mother had introduced her.

Her face was pale as she stared at the woman in disbelief.

“Yes, baby. She has been our daughter for seventeen years and…and…” Alaine said as she bit her lower lip, not knowing how to go on.

Tracy stared at the woman, knowing what she wanted to say. She sighed, “She will continue living here?” she asked, and Alaine nodded her head. “Then are you guys going to tell the public that I am your relative? You don’t want the public to know your daughter was swapped at birth and grew up in the countryside, and embarrass the family? I saw such things on TV.”

Alaine froze when she heard her words. Her heart ached when she thought that because of their decision, her daughter had misunderstood them.

“No, dear. We will reveal the truth, and she will become the Grants' adopted daughter,” Alaine said as she took Tracy’s hands. Tracy was startled when her hands were held, looked at the hands holding her, and took a deep breath.

Alaine felt as if she was being pierced by her actions, thinking that it wasn’t even easy holding her daughter’s hands. She had missed holding her when she was a kid, and now she was back, she couldn’t even touch her; she refused to believe.

“Alaine,” Mr Grant said as he gritted his teeth when he heard her words. He had already promised Eve that she would continue being the Grants’ heiress; how could he face her after this?

Alaine pretended not to hear him; all her attention was on her daughter.

Tracy had been looking at them as she was curious who really made decisions. She remembered that Eve had told her that her father was also from the countryside. Grant was not his surname; he had changed to that after getting married to the family. He wanted to show the Grants that he was sincere and willing to do everything for her mother. However, she didn’t see any love when he looked at her.

“Okay, mommy,” Tracy said with a smile on her face, feeling happy that her mother wasn’t moved to change her decision, she would have let me down if she did.

“Sister, I am sorry. It wasn’t my fault that we were swapped at birth,” Eve said as she started crying, causing Alaine to flinch.

‘Right, it wasn’t Eve’s fault. She lifted her head and met Tracy’s eyes, making her panic; she hardened her heart.

“I know, and that is why I don’t blame you and have allowed you to stay here,” Tracy said with a smile on her face. She understood that if she forced her parents to chase the latter out, she would be deemed as selfish and not care for everything; she had to wait for a good chance to chase the latter out.

Eve glared at Tracy, her eyes filled with viciousness and hatred, her hands clenched into fists.

“Sister, you had a long journey, let me take you to your room and rest,” She said with a smile on her face as she thought that even if her identity was made public, she was treated better than Tracy at home.

Tracy nodded, making Eve excited. Tracy followed Eve, then halted when she realized where she was being taken. As she passed her mother, she ‘accidentally’ revealed the wounds from pinches and beatings on her arms, causing Alaine to scream.

Are you blind?”Alaine frowned, not understanding why the latter was behaving like that. “Can you come down and explain what’s wrong?”Rhoda pointed at the woman, her chest ri

“Hae Rhoda,” Alaine greeted the lady behind the desk when they walked into the spa.The woman who was busy typing on the keyboard lifted her head. When she saw Alaine, a smile appeared on her face. “Hae Alaine. Weren’t you here a few days ago?”“I brought my daughter today,” Alaine said.Rhoda nodded as they were used to seeing Eve every week. She looked around and couldn’t see Eve. She turned to Alaine with a confused gaze. “Where is she?”“Here she is,” Alaine said as she pulled Tracy closer to her. “I bet you haven’t seen the company’s news.”Rhoda shook her head, then stared at the woman waiting for her to tell her what was going on.“The kids were swapped at birth. She is my biological daughter, Tracy. Can you please be the one serving her?”Rhoda stared at the girl whom her friend had introduced. Hearing her last sentence, she frowned, not understanding why the latter would request such a thing, but she still nodded as the woman really requested anything.“I am your mom’s friend

“Of course not, dear. Since that’s what you want, then we can go with that,” Alaine said.“You heard what my daughter said, the banquet should be one of a kind. You have a week,” she said.“Okay, madam,” the secretary replied, and the call was disconnected.“Wow, with that kind of heiress, I wouldn’t mind working overtime to make this banquet the prettiest,” one of the secretaries said, and the others nodded their heads.“Why don’t we divide the work? That way, we can do a great job. I also have a feeling that we won’t be given other tasks apart from that.” The others nodded as they all wanted to contribute as a way to thank Tracy for speaking for them.“The boss might not, but you know her husband.” Upon hearing those words, everyone stopped talking as they knew how Mr Grant was; he always allocated tasks to them so that everyone could see that he had a say. Still, he didn’t have a lot of the company’s shares. After hanging up the call, Alaine opened Weibo, looked at the company’s mai

Alaine stared at Tracy, thinking her daughter’s laugh was so pleasing to the ears, but something felt uneasy.“What? The Grants heiress needs to ask her husband for permission? Are you the company’s CEO or is he? No, sorry, aren’t you the Grant’s daughter? So your words carry more weight than his, right?” Tracy asked, causing Alaine to panic.“You just claim that you need to ask your husband for his decision; if he refuses, you will claim that it wasn’t that you didn’t do it, but he did? I am so sure that you sure how he favors Eve more than he favors me, right?”Tracy looked at her mother with indifference, her heart already gone cold with everything that happened. Well, she went back to being the indifferent Tracy who had just walked into the Grants' mansion after being reborn.“Anyways, Miss Grant, if you don’t want to acknowledge me, just say so; please stop wasting my time. I need to go look for a cheap house to live in,” Tracy added, but Alaine understood those unsaid words. She,

Your daughter is at home,” Tracy said coldly, making more tears roll down her mother’s cheeks.“I am sorry.
