“I promised him I’d check in, can you blame me?” Her eyes narrow, “Yes, yes, I can.” Then she turns to see me, she smiles, “I’m sorry, I’m being rude. I’m Annie, the Beta Female around here. You must be Raina Trainer.” I nod my head as I hold out my hand, “A pleasure to meet you, Beta Annie.” She swats my hand away and comes closer for a hug. The hug is awkward because of her belly in the way, and I swear, I feel the kid inside her kick at me.

11 ADRIAN My stomach lurched as I watched Anne sidle up to Annalisa, a sly smile playing on her lips. Annalisa, blissfully unaware, was engrossed in a conversation with Beatrice. A prickle of unease ran down my spine. There was something about Anne’s posture, the way she held the wine glass a little too close to her body, that set off my internal alarm bells.

A few minutes later, the bouncer met an undistinguished old woman who seemed to be in her late 60s that still wore a red bodycon satin dress. The grand double door opened and she was permitted to go inside, the list mysteriously having her name despite it being an unfamiliar one. Once inside the grand ballroom, her eyes scanned the crowd. There were all sorts of famous people dominating different kinds of industries in this room today, but she was only looking for one known in the film industry.

"Arya..." Ayden murmurs as he sees the woman standing in front of him dressed as a doctor with blonde hair. Doctor Annie Edwards entirely ignores him to take care of the child. "Aryehn, I'm Dr. Annie, do you remember me?" she asks as she approaches the child and checks his pupils. Annie Edwards doesn't want to think that the person in front of her is her son. She blocks her thoughts to be able to attend to him. Ayden hears her and thinks that maybe he is mistaken. "But it's her voice," he muses as he realizes that her hair is now completely blonde. He can't see her face directly, so he doubts that he hasn't hallucinated.

’ Cullen thought. Annie went straight to her home. She is rich and living in a mansion but the reason why she is working as an employee is for Cullen. She went to her bedroom and lied down there, smiling. Her room was full of Cullen’s posters. She is a die hard fan of him. “Maybe I can use Heart to get closer with Cullen Lee. Hihi.” She giggled. When Heart went home, her face was still sad because she really loved working in the ground floor of the department store. She then took of her clothes and ready for shower, she was on her bedroom, looking at the mirror. She looked at her body and face.

Rebecca sheepishly smiled. "Go! Go!" Annie demanded, shooing Rebecca out the door. "Good luck!" Annie said as she hugged Rebecca one last time. Rebecca nodded, her eyes still teary as she left the flat. She didn't lock the door as she left, leaving that up to Annie who left shortly after she finished her coffee, acompanied by Samual and Adam. As Annie left she locked the flat one last time, her heart clenching as she realised she would most likely never do it again. +++++
