Cronin's POV It has been many years since anyone has called me by my given name. I had to become Blue Blade to separate myself from the reality of what my life had become, it was the only way I could survive what had to be done. The weapon I carry was a gift from the king before he stole the throne from his own brother. It is imbued with powers I do not understand and bound to me with a dark magic that I find both awe inspiring and terrifying.

“I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!” My legs shake as I try to stand, but the king extends his hand, and a bright, golden glow erupts, striking me in the lower belly. “I’ll have none of that filth in my kingdom. You and the father were too aggressive, less malleable than I like–” A sudden burst of dark energy steals the breath from my lungs, and then Blake is standing between me and the king, his shadow falling over Kaleb like he’s the God of Death coming to collect. He lazily raises a hand, and silver light explodes all around us.

Hearing this, Catherine goggled at me in disbelief. At this moment, the two kids behind her poked out their heads from either side, sizing me up with their big eyes. "Sir, are you the Lycan King?" Hedwig looked at me and asked curiously. To tell the truth, I would allow a rogue to join the Chavez Pack just because of the two kids. I quickly squatted to stroke Hedwig's head and tried to be gentle. "Yes, I am King Blake." When I touched Hedwig's soft hair, I had a warm feeling in my cold heart. I felt that even my heart seemed to become soft.

Do all of these romantic things exist in my world? No. I'm dreaded by everyone and get them quaking at my presence, as I have no mercy for defaulters. My heart is stony and cold to the core, with darkness surrounding it. My name is Blake, the Vampire King's son, who has killed many and turned many into slaves, causing nothing but terror and horror in their lives.

Blake told him and pushed his hand off the cliff. “BLAKE!” he yelled in hatred as he fell down. A second later, Blake felt his link with him die. He smiled and then left for Midnight pack to claim the throne he has been after for so long.

I could have a crush and not act insane. "Sorry. I was just thinking." I whispered. He took me in for a second and than gave me a nod of understanding. "Well you are suppose to be reading right now, not watching The high king." Blake stated as he reached over and opened up my book for me. The high king. I shot a glance at the God who was so casually leaning on the desk and took him in even more. He didn't look like a king. Yes he looked irresistible and he had confidence that could make anyone not be able to function but the high king. He didn't look like he ruled the universe, he was too good looking.

The Lycan king tapped into his telekinetic ability, by this time he was close enough for what he wanted to do. The vampire prince became stunned when his hand brought out his knife from its sheath. "What are you doing?" Prince Blade's face paled as he watched with horror as his right hand brought the knife to his neck. "Stop it right this minute, Kyle! Stop it!" King Benson could no longer watch this crazy drama before him. Kyle turned to face the wizard king who had a worried look plastered on his face. "Or what, father-in-law?" his tone was cold. Too deadly!

Kayla said "What? I don't think he would help me," I said. I had heard about King Blake. He was the Werewolf King, and he ruled over all of the werewolves. I had also heard he was heartless and only thought about himself. He was twenty-five and mateless, and all he cared about was power.

The memories of the borderlands, the hunts, the bloodshed—they all blurred into the background. Only the blade remained. Steel. Control. Focus. He spun the sword once and brought it down in a clean strike that would have split a skull from crown to jaw. The sound echoed softly across the courtyard. Then— “You train early.” The voice came from behind him. Deep. Smooth. Ancient. Adrian froze instantly. His instincts reacted before his thoughts did. He turned and dropped to one knee. “My king.” King Vaelreth stood near the entrance of the courtyard, his dark cloak stirring slightly in the cold morning wind.
