Destined to Cross, Bound to Leave

Destined to Cross, Bound to Leave

Seeing him close the trunk, I prepared to get in my car and leave. But he stepped forward to block my path again. This time, he grabbed my wrist, despite the motor oil on his hands. "Let go!" I was getting impatient, but I couldn't break free. Victor's eyes burned intensely as he said in a low voice, "Claire, I have something to say. Please give me a little time."

The Luna With Ruin

The Luna With Ruin

"Contested crossing to slow them and thin the numbers. Secondary line in the eastern woodland to catch what comes through." "That's two defensive positions," Dax said. "We have the numbers for it." Stefan looked at Jasmina. "Barely. But we have them." She looked at the map. The river crossing. The eastern woodland. The full force of what Gareth was bringing. "Brief everyone tonight," she said. "Full compound. I want everyone who's going to hold a line to know the plan before they sleep." She looked around the room. "We don't get surprised this time."

Kiss Me While The Pack Burns

Kiss Me While The Pack Burns

it said. Kael’s voice cut in, sharper now. “You don’t get to talk to her.” “And you don’t get to stop what’s already started.” The words landed. Heavy. Final. Lira’s chest tightened. “What does that mean?” she asked. The figure didn’t look at Kael. Didn’t look anywhere else. Only her. “It means,” it said quietly, “you’ve already crossed the line.” A chill ran through her entire body. “What line?” A pause.

Blurred Lines

Blurred Lines

Note: This is a past-day event, i.e. a 'flashback' (continuation of even-numbered chapters time span events: 2,4,6, etc.) On the quad between the five hostels, there is another water drainage pipe that runs along. It is this iron lid which Cedrick now removes. The metallic sound reverberates through the night. By the windows of the hostels, the rest of the guys stand and look on. They know exactly what is going on, they too went through this.

His Goddess Chosen Luna

His Goddess Chosen Luna

Don't ask how I know it's like werewolf intuition, we only really know when were near the pack we belong in type deal. I cross over the lines, Jason then leaps in front of me, baring his teeth at me snarling. I look at him, he then adverts his eyes right telling me to go that way. Most of the times warriors wont cross lines unless they have to, and then to get between packs there is certain routes we take.

Lunarcrossed

Lunarcrossed

About forty miles from the Florida line, in Waycross Georgia, I pace on the side of the road, gritting my teeth, and kicking at loose gravel with my boots. Our hunter band is caught up in the traffic of a road closure and I’m losing my damn mind at being forced to be idle and stand by. Once again, the tuniculas are fucking everything up, hindering our search of the rogue and the Cross girls, and making us lose valuable time. Every second counts in this hunt. We’ve already burned enough daylight, and with three a.m. quickly closing in, another night will pass for those poor girls in the company of their depraved captor. Only the moon knows what is happening to them. And I shudder at the thoug

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

Only memory, rebalanced. "Three roads," he whispered. She nodded. "And others will follow." They didn't need to know where any of them went. Not today. Today, it was sufficient to know they had walked in. --- 7:11 AM — Sector R, Boundary Weave Crossing The crossing was not broad, but it was tiered: silkcord braids along tension beams, sewn with bits of flags originally flown for district designations. Those now indicated but change. Renewal. Resilience.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Jaime reminded. Everyone lowered their heads. In a flash, they saw that although a thin layer of silver powder was spread on the ground below the curved lines, very thin lines were also drawn on the powder. Those lines corresponded to the ones in mid-air. As these lines were three-dimensional in mid-air, no one noticed the points, but when the lines were traced on the ground, everyone found that many of the lines overlapped. The overlapping thin lines suddenly converged into a prominent thick streak, and these thick lines curved and stretched to the other end of the main hall from the steps near the crowd.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.
