I put my hand over hers. My mouth opened and closed again. "Hey, that can't be your kid. That kid looks like atleast six if not nine. Aren't three years old suppose to be toddlers or something. Unless she cheated on-" The Santa weird guy cut himself off because of the sharp glare he received. I could see some gears turning in his head as he spoke again. "But then again if it is your kid we are talking about I won't even be surprised if the kid was born with a height considered good for a six year old." He shrugged.

Remembering made me shudder. He gave me a sharp look. "You heard them? Felt them?" "I - Yes, I think so." I stepped closer to him, suddenly afraid. I knew nothing about where I was. Leo placed his hands on my bare arms. "Those are the Cursed. They are creatures who turned their backs on Polonias and the goodness of the magic in the land. They are like the demons of your world. Some are desperate for a way out of the darkness, while others seek to pull unsuspecting travelers in. They are the cause of the Sickness." He shook his head. "Did you understand them?"

I feel like, my bratness is coming out again too. "Indira, meet your Daddy. He's Saint Claus Monteserio. The name is holy but he's rude." I looked at the man whose mouth was slightly open because of what I said. What? It's true. He's named a Saint, but Lucifer's messenger. My daughter nodded before crossing her arms. Her mouth is still dirty with the chocolates she ate.

She screamed, making list of the people flinch and younger children cry in fright. "But you know what, I will leave and you will never see me again. Of course I won't leave without a gift for your unborn child, whether male or female, the child shall not experience the feeling of full wolf transformation. "I don't know," I said. "Maybe." "Well, if we get to vote, I vote that Zander's jerk face brother is cursed," said Ruthie.

Doubt creeps into their expressions. The elderly woman shakes her head furiously. "Stop spewing lies!" she spits. "If Alpha Elijah was truly our Santa, then why is the curse still here? If he’s found his mate—" her sharp gaze lands on me, filled with challenge, "why haven’t you both broken it?" I inhale deeply. Time to shatter their delusion completely. "Because the curse never existed." Gasps.

My voice cracked on the words because I was certain that he did love me. Confusion marred her perfect features. “Is he sick?” Because truly, that would be the only other problem. “He's cursed.” I blurted out. “Cursed?” She sounded disbelieving. “Yes, cursed.” I spent the next few minutes explaining Brian's curse, his age, the death of his prior mates, and the future event of my possible death.

“Your cousin was cured, right? From the cure derived from the volcanic minerals of your pack, ye?” The girl frowned. “My cousin died long ago.There's no cure for that sickness here.” My heart froze momentaril

"Stand up. You've got it wrong. I want to know if the Hellrend Severance Technique can remove the cursed essence from Brantley's body. You were at the grand ceremony, right? You must have seen Brantley, who fought me and controlled cursed essence." Hearing this, the seven troublemakers exhaled in relief. It was just a question, after all. Pacino admitted, "Sovereign Snow, frankly, I can't respond to that question. The cursed essence is too frightening. Alaric said the curse didn’t activate unless you killed someone. If they were werewolves, had they never triggered the curse? Or was it something else entirely? I glanced at the window, where the light of the setting sun was fading, giving way to the night. The full moon was coming. I could feel it—a strange hum at the back of my mind, growing stronger with each passing moment.
