The carriage suddenly felt suffocating. Too quiet. Too small. Tears blurred her vision as she reached shakily between her legs to clean the blood still staining her skin. The sight made her stomach twist painfully. Her mind spiraled in too many directions at once. Fear. Humiliation. Exhaustion. And underneath all of it… something colder. Because for the first time since meeting Eugene, Ruby finally understood something terrifying. She was no longer afraid of losing him. She was starting to fear staying with him instead.

She was scared of the fact that the man had seen her on action, that could only be the reason why he had said that kind of a thing. "No! just let me have yours please," Ruby begged. The truth is that she does not want to be seen as a murderer, many things were going on in her mind, there isn't much of a thing that will go unnoticed. As she heaved a gentle sigh, Ruby kept her eyes glued on his, there more Xavier stared at her, she just felt like she was going to pass out. As she shook her head from left to right, the fear that gripped through her was unbelievable.

Perhaps it was because she did not want to be disgraced in front of Larissa, so she bit her lip stubbornly and refused to let the tears fall. "Your son is a bastard with no father!" she laughed coldly, her eyes filled with venomous hate. Larissa's hand whipped across Ruby's face once more. "You're on my turf now, Ruby Cole, and now you've ended up in my hands. Even if I killed you today, no one would say a word. Don't think that it won't happen." She let out a sinister smile as she threatened her coldly. The cruelty in Ruby's gaze receded some as fear and panic flashed through her eyes.

I stop…I hear someone laughing; Jake looks at me and says, “Did you hear that?” I nod. “Yeah, it sounds like it came from below us; there must be some sort of cellar “ We follow the noise to a door opening it as quietly as possible before we walk silently down a set of concrete steps, our backs as close to the wall as possible. We make it halfway down. What I see knocks me sick Ruby is covered in blood and bent over a table behind her; a man is pulling his pants down... I don't see anything else…….consumed by rage, I jump down the remaining steps and yell.

Something was amiss. In just under an hour, Yaslyn arrived at Ruby's house. She pounded on the door but received no response. Suddenly, she remembered the spare key Ruby had once given her. Hastily, she unlocked the door and was met with a sight she could hardly bear. Bloodstains sprawled across the floor, leading to a disheveled body in the corner of the room. It was Ruby. Her clothes were torn, and her throat was covered with scars. Her face was a haunting reminder of the torture. Yaslyn cried as she checked for a breath that was no longer there. Anger, guilt, and an overwhelming hatred for Yerick consumed her.

When my eyes met his cold, obsidian eyes, it felt like I would melt. "This is my niece, all the way from California. She came to spend a month and a half with me, but Landry… he doesn't want her in our home," Ruby said, her voice trembling, tiny against the weight of his silence. For the third time, he didn't speak. Is he mute or something? "Can... can she stay with you?" Ruby whispered, her voice quivering like a leaf in a storm. What?! I screamed inside my head, panic clawing at my chest. Ruby wants me to stay with this… this demon?

Unlike the previous silence, this one is foreboding. Ruby carefully made her way around the house, mindful of the faintest sounds she made as well as her surroundings. She paused when she reached the front door. Something is definitely not right. She counted to ten before taking a step forward to the entrance. Fear and worry bubbled up inside her chest for her witch friend making her swallow. She summoned her scythe and gun before stepping on the porch and grabbing the doorknob.

She was about to make the mother of all noise when her eyes caught sight of a small figure creeping through the door. She pushed back with her legs, sitting back down on her bed petrified. Ruby cringed backwards against the wall, her hands wrapped around her knee. The animal got closer and she made out it's form to be a rat, she could see it with the light from a lantern hanging close to the door. She squeezed herself and quaked with fear, breathing heavily, shutting her eyes very tight and refusing to stare at the animal in the middle of her room. The atmosphere was that way until Ruby realised something.

Taking a deep breath, she turned back and hurried forward. Just a few more steps, and she would be out of the alley. Although it wasn't in a bustling area, there were usually residents passing by. However, as Ruby approached the alley's exit, a large hand suddenly reached out from behind her, covering her mouth. “Mmph!” Fear washed over her like a tidal wave. Her instinct was to struggle, but the hand bore a strange scent that caused her vision to blur and her strength to fade. Just as Ruby felt herself slipping into unconsciousness, the grip suddenly loosened.

[LUNA] I rode hard to the mansion, my heart racing in sync with the roar of my bike. I’d hoped to find Abbie at the museum, but as usual, she was as elusive as smoke. After parking, I stormed inside, my thoughts a tangled mess. V had just texted me: Ruby’s in the mansion, and B’s busy flirting with her. Normally, I wouldn’t give a damn about B's antics, but there was something about Ruby—something unnervingly familiar. She looked exactly like Abbie. The thought gnawed at me as I stepped into the room.
