"You have no idea–I was just joking around, but those disgusting guys went crazy asking me for your contact." I snatched the flyer out of her hand and slapped her across the face. Tara screamed, clutching her cheek in disbelief. "You hit me? I treat you like my best friend, and you can't even take a joke anymore?" Best friend? I let out a cold laugh.

But some things manage to pierce through.” That was when they discovered a peculiar, dark humor that only those who flirt with danger every day can cultivate. Everyone just laughed like I'm just some kind of a psychopath, what's funny to them, they were laughing and pointing hands, and worse of it the subjects were laughing too, maybe I was stupid for talking without understanding anything, I shouldn't have let my curiosity get the better of me.

"Wait, how'd you know about that? You had passed out by that time." I gave him my own sheepish smile. "Out of body experiences are trippy," I said cryptically.

I smiled without my consent after hearing that old saying. "Did you do something fun because it's a new year?" "Yeah, I had lunch at a fancy restaurant." "That's it? Is that how you spend your new year? I feel so bad for you." "How did you do it?" "Hanging out with my buddies, playing soccer until we wear out, Attending parties with pretty girls and ending the day with drinks and fireworks." "That sounds fun." "That's what people our age do. Not having lunch in a fancy restaurant and returning home. Are you really nineteen or are you lying to me?"

“How can you joke? Do you know you were passed out for five hours?” “How could I know, I was passed out, remember?” That joke wasn’t taken too well. “Merilee, this isn’t funny!” “Wow, you’ve never used my full name before. What changed since I went swimming in wonderland?” I wasn’t annoying him intentionally, but I just couldn’t stop myself.

I don't want to continue running my mouth about melancholic things. Enzo is honestly fun to be with. He's very talkative.
