Adrian's POV The closer I get to the drink stand, the further the asshole's smirk spreads. Of all the Alphas, Alaric is the one I hate the most. The asshole made school a nightmare. I got lucky with elementary and middle school; our pack had our own. High school is a different story. They believe it helps create future bonds between packs if their children go to high school together. The idea is that they learn together and become friends so that when they're older, they have connections with other packs instead of just their own.

Aaron and I arrived at the school hall on time. We got in and met a bunch of our classmates who seemed happy to see us. I even got compliments which was weird because none of them like me, though I guess they are just being nice because we’re all going to leave and have our separate lives in college. I really can’t wait for that to happen. High school has never been a fun place for me, the drama and constant fake life are just too much. I believe college would be the best.

For example colds, sprains, flus, vaccines, etcetera. My birthday came around again and I turned 17. My parents got me a new truck to drive to school with, they told me that we were still going to go to the ‘Human’ High school for Junior year, that the new high school we built doesn’t have enough teachers or staff yet to officially open it, hopefully senior year we can transfer there.

Reaching school, there was a beautiful sight. Whole school was decorated, and the students were so happy because today was the student day. Today the basketball team is going to perform and then there was a plan of a trip to an amusement park, and Miles love going to amusement parks. The group of three friends were watching the crowd with open mouths, almost whole school was gathered by the basketball court today. Not like he wasn't raking in the dough before, but apparently, this new position came with a whole slew of other benefits that went right over my head. Parents shouldn't be allowed to muck up their kids' existence out of the blue like this, but what the hell? My brother, the jock, was chomping at the bit. This new school supposedly had a better football program and better standing in the Nationals, yadda, yadda, yadda, like I gave a frack. All I know is that my final year and a half in high school was not supposed to be like this. I was just getting into the groove of things. Mom and dad had just lifted the virgin seal, aka I was allowed to date and wham.

Those transitioning from primary to high school, from high school to university and ultimately a career ahead. Dinner seems to be taking a bit too long today; I can't help but be lost in my own thoughts. Of all 17 years I've lived, the one before 18 seems to be the longest. My high school experience was what many would claim to be anticlimactic, 4 years passed by in the blink of an eye and the high school graduation I had fantasised about so dearly remained imaginary. Sarah’s POV “Hurry up! You will be late for school!” I shouted, urging Cynthia to get ready quickly for school. Today was her last exam day at junior high, and I felt both nervous and proud watching her prepare for such an important moment. From next semester, she would now be in another higher level of education, the senior high, and in three years’ time, she would be going to college to study her dream course, medicine. Cynthia was very passionate about education, and because of this, she had pushed herself harder than usual. Just last night, she studied all night long, determined to get every detail right. This was why she didn’t wake up early this morning.

Thank the Goddess Aiden still had hold of me, or I would have gone down. “Whoa, steady there, Miss,” he breathed close to me. I’m sure he must have known what he was doing to me and was enjoying it too. “I hear we are coming to school with you,” he stated. “I’m in my last year of high school – it was the sixth form, really, but it was generally easier to just call it high school – I’m pretty sure you will be going to the university with Mason,” I tell him, I’m sure I saw all three of their faces scrunch up.
