Jason looked restless, constantly glancing at his watch as if waiting for someone.
A few groomsmen stood by his side. They were his usual close buddies, the ones who always made bets about me. Their expressions weren't too good either.
Even from a distance, I caught fragments of their grumbling.
"Don't tell me Jennifer's actually serious about not coming?"
At those words, Jason's face darkened further.
He pulled out his phone to call someone, but the line never connected.
The more he tried, the more agitated he became, as if something slipped completely out of his control.
