“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it.” She shrugged, and opening the small door in the gate. She had no umbrella with her, I’m guessing she go out in a hurry. Who wouldn’t when their cousin was standing in front of her own home gate, and staring at her house like a psycho? “Don’t apologize. Let’s get you inside before you catch a cold.” I nod, following her through the door. The walkway is just like I remember, on each side are prize winning roses. Of different colors. Huh? When do black roses exist? I took a small detour from following Alexis, bending over a patch of those strange black roses.

The waterfall roared louder than usual, but a rancid smell overpowered the usual scent of roses. Rogues were waiting for her, not Xavier. One of them was the unkempt man from the market. Rose readied herself, then she felt him. Xavier, running flat out, drawn by the bond. He burst into the clearing, eyes blazing. “Rose, run!” “No, we fight together.” Then the wild roses moved like a living thing. They had always grown thick here, but tonight they came alive. Vines wrapped her ankles, thorns gentle against her skin, petals brushing her face.

This part of the garden was filled with several species of roses. Whenever she came to the garden she often was mesmerized by the roses. Rosalie loved roses. Roses and lilies were her favorite flowers and they each had their own fragrance to them. Every flower had its own features. The colorful patterns, the light colors, and the dark colors of each individual characteristic, enhanced the flowers. This was definitely a place she wanted to show Hakeem. She'd always wanted to show someone the impressive garden designed by her mom, but she didn't have anyone to show or anyone who would appreciate the beauty as she did.

Perhaps she'd find a way to take up the hobby when she returned to Iowa. Tickseed provided a nice groundcover. Kaida had always loved the light pink buds because they resembled stars. Lily of the valley lined natural stones along the border, the fragrance pleasing. Red lobelia, pink and white phlox, and purple irises were open. Coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, turtleheads, and snapdragons were still in the green stage, recognizable by their leaves and stems. Toward the center of the area, rose bushes were arranged in a cluster and had several statuettes at their base. A mermaid. Dragon. Trolls. Frogs and snails. How cute, and they added playfulness. Whimsy.

I didn’t ask more questions and trusted Trevor completely. After a few minutes, we stepped into a clearing bathed in soft morning light. My breath hitched as I took in the sight before me. A field of red roses stretched out like a sea of crimson, but these weren’t ordinary roses. Each delicate petal had silver markings, shimmering softly under the sunlight, as if kissed by moonlight itself. I gasped. “Trevor… these are…” “The legendary red roses of Silver Rose Pack. Albert Crousse and La France fluttered in the silent wind , Chelsea loved these two especially La France with its exquisite charming look , that pink splattered with crimson was simply beautiful and their mild fragrance was enchanting . But that was not the complete truth , she indeed loved Peonies because they weren't intoxicating like roses but she loved them because these flowers were the ones Rogue had given her on the day of their engagement . Peonies signified happy marriage and when Rogue gifted her these flowers , she was over the moon . She believed Rogue gave her these peonies because just like her , he wanted a happy marriage with her but -

“Benjamin and Madam are planning to enjoy some private time. We’re just setting things up for them.” Lydia’s eyes widened. She had never met anyone as homebound as Amanda. These days she’d been trying to get closer to her, but hadn’t found a chance. After a pause, Lydia suggested, “Why don’t we buy some roses? That would make the atmosphere more romantic.” She loved roses. But Benjamin had never once bought her any. Robin smiled faintly and shook his head. “Madam’s allergic to flowers. Benjamin specifically said no flowers, especially lilies, in case she reacts.”

I know it seems odd to go to the movies in the morning, but he tells me he has a ton of other things planned, so it is just a warm up for the day. After the movies, he takes me to this really pretty indoor botanical garden. There is a huge atrium filled with countless varieties of roses. We walk along the path looking at each one until we get to a variety called Earl Grey. The blooms are light grey with just hints of purple flecks. They are absolutely gorgeous. “Look closer, Baby." He points to the little sign at the base of the bush. There is a little plaque in front of it that says: "This rose bush is dedicated to the Goddess Iokaste by Bronx Mason.”

She could observe the garden's vibrant foliage and a wide variety of flowers via the glass. The roses were a sight to behold in the deeper parts of the garden; some were pink, others red, but the boldest was a delicate blue and dark purple.
