Three days ago, Miranda received a call from Winter. Her friend had finally completed the project she was working on, and Marshall had gone back to his hometown for the winter break. Winter slept for two days straight. Feeling bored, she asked Miranda to join her on a trip on a whim. "As for our destination…" Winter stroked her chin. " Let's go to Marvedis." Miranda gave it a brief thought before agreeing with Winter's suggestion. "Okay." Besides trying to avoid the commotion Sam and Hansel had stirred, she also wanted to have a good rest.

Ten years passed. For long-lived werewolves, it was the blink of an eye. For Axel, it was 3,650 days and nights of burning in hell. Under Axel's rule, the Shadowcrest pack swallowed every neighboring pack and became the sole power across the wasteland. No one dared speak the name 'Seraphina'. No one dared to approach the tattered tent at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where snow and wind never ceased. It was forbidden ground, the den of the mad wolf Axel.

She pointed out. I knew exactly what she meant. The weather had been shitty most of the time. It had been one of the worst winters in a long time. Everyone had said that this was the most snow they had seen in five years or longer. There had been three major snowstorms that had fucked up everything. Jayson and Alexi were irritated, as was the rest of the team when the hockey season lasted longer than it should have. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do when mother nature decides that she wants to send shitty weather. Kassie was meeting us there. She was picking up the other girls. Tenny rattled off with a huge amount of enthusiasm. “No, I’m not going,” Santiago was barely hearing Tenny’s voice as he strained to focus his ears on the words that the lush, pink lips were saying on the screen. “This club is kickin’. It is absolutely chock full of young, delicious co-eds and get this…they have to come wearing a bikini top or they can’t get in!” Tenny Rodriguez was a werewolf just like Santiago and they’d known each other their whole lives. Even though Tenny was from another pack, they'd always gotten along and his friend didn't hold it against him when he'd abandoned his ancient duty for a relatively human existence.

Not that I expect him to but at the same time I do expect him to. It was bothering me that I was bothered by this. - I opened the door to the "window room" and like I expected, Dallas was standing there staring out the window. I quietly closed the door behind me and started walking towards Dallas, looking between his toned torso - that was defined through his tight, white v-neck - and the falling snowflakes.

Embrace it, wield it with courage, and you will find your way through the darkness." With those words, the wolf's form began to fade, its light merging with the ambient glow in the room. Mara's heart felt lighter, her spirit fortified by this encounter. As the room returned to its previous darkness, she knew that she was no longer alone. The moon's blessings and the guidance of the guardian wolf would be her companions in the journey ahead.

It was already midday, but she was lucky enough to get an appointment with the admissions clerk at 1 pm on such short notice. Fall was almost upon them and Star could already feel the chill setting in, Maine was a notoriously cold state since it was so close to Canada and while the Summers weren’t all that warm, the winters were below freezing and bitterly cold.
