I replied with a roll of my eyes. Alpha Cadell held a ball in his very fancy, and extremely huge, mansion. He said it was a celebration for his arrival at the new town. Did I mention that this is a masquerade? We live in Midwick, Virginia. A very small and very beautiful town, which one would feel was built right in the middle of the woods.

I valued her career, but she resigned so that she could take care of Charles and Caleb better. Besides, she used the money I had saved for retirement for Caleb’s wedding. After reaching ~ 3rd Person's POV Well right now they are right infront of the river bridge, surrounded by the cold winds which was unexpected to all of them. The city has never been this cold but today it's like ice water winds and not just the wind even the weather here is cold due to the river water. "Woahh." Nishant said coming out the car as the winds immediately embraced him. They parked at the private area where people are generally not allowed to visit without authority permissions so there are absolutely no people except them.

During the winter all that became almost one hundred percent inactive. Because winter is considered in religion to be the time of mourning for the Moon Goddess, very few things worked well during the weeks when snowflakes fell almost daily. All the religion and respect for the Great Mother's pain meant that studies, some jobs, and almost all socialization, especially of the elite, took a significant break. It was a time of peace, where all that happened, at least in the big mansions, were family meals and little socializing.

Then, the serving woman added, “Soon, the winter winds will arrive; they’re expected by the end of the month. You should make the most of your time, as once those winds come, people won’t leave their homes.” “Is it really that bad? I thought winter had already started,” Triana said. The woman shook her head. “We’re just entering winter. The sky is still clear, and the temperature is quite mild. When the winter winds come, we’ll barely see the sun, and just a moment outside can leave you frozen.” Triana glanced at Vlador with a deep sigh. He nodded slightly in response. “You’re right. We should make the most of our time,” Vlador said, rising from his seat. “Thank you for your hospitality.”

He then spoke again, “Ms. Plath, please come to the police station with me to record your statement.” Summer nodded as she wiped her hands. “Bill, please.” “I’ve already paid for you. Let’s go.” Casper stood up. He took out a cigarette from his pocket. “Officer Synder, is the winter in Mountain City as cold as the one here?” Summer whispered in a profound manner. “Mountain City is a northern city. There are heated floors indoors in winter. That keeps us warm.” Casper glanced at Summer and knew that she did not want him to stay.
