Winter's Mate: Fated on Ice

Winter's Mate: Fated on Ice

"Do you understand?" "I understand," I said, nodding. "Good." She praised, "You should also understand where we are. We are on the winter island; the warden brought the main house here when he was crowned. Although this belongs to the winter family, there are ordinary citizens living here too." "Ordinary citizens?" I repeated, surprised. "Like, normal people? Not part of the organization?" "Correct," Savannah said. "The land belongs to the Winter family, but regular people live here under the family's protection. There are shops, schools, and even hospitals further outskirt the main building. You'll see them from time to time if you ever leave the mansion."

Lawfully Wedded Nanny (BWWM)

Lawfully Wedded Nanny (BWWM)

The first snow came early that year. Elmsworth was awash in gray skies and frost-kissed rooftops by the fourth week of November. The chill sank into everything—bones, breaths, and silences. Richard stirred the fireplace in the study, watching the orange glow fight the cold shadows creeping through the corners of the room. Carter lay curled on the couch, fast asleep with one of his toy soldiers on his chest. Meredith sat by the window, knees to her chest, doodling absently in her sketchpad.

Claimed By Wolves

Claimed By Wolves

I swear the thunderstorm chased me. Autumn fast approached, and I could tell by the hint of coldness in the air or maybe it was because I was soaking wet. At least it wasn’t a blizzard. Which reminded me of Winter. I hadn’t even asked how he got his name or his brother’s. Lord knows Las Vegas probably never even saw snow. Whereas here in Minnesota, we had ice and snow practically ten months a year. A howl sounded a few feet from me, and I stilled. My heart pounded in my chest as another wolf answered, then another. How many of them were out here? I crouched behind a cedar tree. Had they seen me?

Damned To Love

Damned To Love

Cara could hear the abbreviated breathing of different witches. "Another person needs to dominate," said Cara noisily, "Departs, you will convey me next." The stroll through the Closed Mountain range was particularly burdening during the frigid winter season. Consistently, the 42 witches needed to track down a reasonable spot to the camp, where they likewise could re-engage their identification so they could oppose the frosty temperatures around evening time.

before going out Pidge whispered to Rosina who asked, "What idea?" "Just do what we have told you to..." Winter blurted out. Rosina gave a nod then Pidge and Winter went away. "Winter, walk fast... I've seen some hungry wolves out here..." Pidge and Winter walking fastly on the empty streets of Alaska. "Wolves are normal here..." spoke Winter. "No, I mean...the real ones. The hungry beasty wolves..." answered Pidge. "You're making me frightened, Pidge!" Winter quickly held the arm of her best friend so that she won't run away.

One by one, the rest of the logs composing the roof crackled and flew off, giving Emma a perfect view of the vortex swirling down to greet her. The broken roofing twisted on the currents of the tornado. Emma sensed enough power there to lift the entire cabin off the ground, but the only winter air she felt was at her back. It blew through the door and pushed her to her hands and knees. Above, the twisting mass of snow and debris distorted to reveal the bubble around which it spun. The wendigo stood cross-armed in the eye of the storm. It leered down at her, its grin stretching the scant millimeters its ruined lips would allow. The needle teeth the smile exposed didn’t belong in her father’s

Midwinter Town: A Novella

Midwinter Town: A Novella

He left the room. A fierce winter covered the forests with heavy snow-clusters and icicles, and filled ravines to their edges with drifts, so that the whole land seemed a single white plain. Great, sudden storms came, in which men and herds were lost under the pall of snow; roads grew misleading and perilous. A lonely Jaweldur howled in the distance.

Cold Season

At dinner, my mom hit me with, "Tristan, why didn't you bring Chloe along? "We're not getting any younger, and you guys live so far away. Who knows how many more times we'll get to see Chloe?" I felt a lump in my throat and just kept my head down, focusing on my food to keep the tears at bay. "Mom, Chloe is off traveling with Sheila. We'll bring her by to see you guys for New Year's." No sooner had I said that than my phone started buzzing. It was Sheila. I stepped outside to take the call.

White As Snow

White As Snow

In the darkness of night, where the moon shone as bright as it could, ran the White Wolf into the deep forest. Paws thudding against the wet soil, she whipped past the familiar trees cutting through the sharp wind. These little moments of freedom were what she was always hungry for. Others had heard about her, but none had seen her. It was as if she was nonexistent and just a part of a tale. They had heard about her beauty and the gift she possessed. A gift so unreal that it could make or break one's future.

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now

What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming
