A Sinful Devotion
Nick stared at the window for nearly an hour, utterly silent.
Then his phone vibrated again—another unknown message, chilling in its simplicity:
“Walk away. While you still can.”
Nick didn’t move.
Didn’t blink.
Didn’t breathe.
Then he smiled—a slow, cold, lethal thing that hadn’t surfaced since the night he lost Rafe.
He typed back:
“Try me.”
And pressed send.
