Going home right away wasn’t an option, not when the suffocating, awkward atmosphere there would only worsen my mood. My head throbbed painfully, and I felt as though I was teetering on the edge of losing control entirely. Everything was just… too much. It was all piling up, threatening to crush me under its weight. My chest felt heavy, and my thoughts were a whirlwind of confusion, frustration, and exhaustion.

The evening feels oppressive. The atmosphere in my room is dense, weighing on my chest like an intolerable burden. I am huddled on my bed, embracing my knees, gazing at the void ahead of me. My thoughts are overwhelming, engulfing me in a noise that's hard to flee. I am unable to breathe. I am unable to think. I can't control the tempest brewing within me. All things are excessive. I place my hand on my forehead, sensing the moisture of perspiration. My body feels tired, but my mind won't let me relax. The recollections won't permit me.

It doesn’t make sense. The enormity of the situation crashes over me like a tidal wave, the world around me spinning faster than I can grasp. Before I can process it further, everything goes black, engulfing me in an unyielding void.

I, too speechless to think straight, replied, "I don't know." What was really happening? So many surprises in a day. This was too much to handle.

“I’ll have to go back to the party now, but Faith, please, just go back home.” “I will.” I told her. “I’ll go back right now.” Not that I had the strength to go anywhere else either. The events of the day were starting to take their toll on me and I felt like I could collapse on to the floor at any moment now.
