"I'm checking." I stood on stage looking at the two of them, and suddenly I was back at the wedding, watching Dad sit by the kitchen doors with the catering carts behind him and broth stains at his feet, barely daring to clap. Today, he was in the front row, and nobody asked him to move aside. Nobody told him he was in the way of the cameras. After the signing, James shook my hand. "Ms. Reed, looking forward to the partnership." When those words landed, Dad's eyes lit up. He straightened up a little in his seat, like he wanted everyone to know I was his daughter.

If you lose sight of your initial objectives, then I will withdraw the sponsorship at any time. Daryl nodded in understanding. However, I could catch a flash of disappointment in his eyes. I went silent for a bit. Then, I added, "However, you can still call me your dad in public if you need to." His eyes lit up with a bright smile at once. His smile stunned me. I found it so ironic that Tammy, my own daughter, didn't care about me as her dad, and yet, a stranger's kid was simply ecstatic to be allowed to call me his dad.

"Dad who the hell is he, oh my God is he thief? Uncle Win is also not here what will happen now dad" Adom start babbling in panik which make Ash roll his eyes. "Don't be a drama queen baby, you really think I am going to forgot what you did in your school. No baby don't play with your Dad" Ash scold the little guy who smile cheekily to him. "But Dad the kid..." "No more talking baby" Alex smile when he heard Ash and his kid talk, Adom is really like Ash. His father and Ash lover is really the most happy man alive ,to have beautiful family like this.

Cailen let it go for now, making a mental note to talk to Ezekiel about actually paying attention in school. "Dadman?" Asher asked, turning to Ezekiel once he had looked the picture over. "Who's Dadman?" Asher looked from Ezekiel to Cailen but Cailen just glanced away because this wasn't for him to explain. "You are. Because you're my Dad and you save people, like Batman," Ezekiel said simply, maybe a hint of shyness to his voice like he's realized this is the first time he's referring to Asher as 'Dad' to his face.

Asher growls out looking my dad in the eyes, I step forward taking his arm in hopes he wouldn’t begin to swing for my father. “Well, I guess I’m not understanding, I leave your town because of disagreements and now you’re suddenly, mated to my daughter. Tell me how that makes sense.” My father smiles leaning up against the countertop, but each time he would question Asher and I being mates, I felt Asher get angrier. “Actually, Asher didn’t have any idea that you were my dad until yesterday. I found a photo of you and his dad.” I say stepping in before things turn ugly, I don’t even want to imagine how I would break these two men apart if they started to get angry.

He never managed to learn to kill those 'weak' emotions called love, compassion and concern. His father would call Ash falcon. Not because Ash was a skilled archer, which he was, but as Ash would painfully learn, because he had replaced a pet Falcon Team had had. Whenever Team did something wrong, Ash would be punished. Whenever Ash failed he would be punished. His father had no tolerance for mistakes or weakness and demanded perfection of his son – and the same from his brother.

“Lil, I promise nothing’s wrong. Your dad has been amazing. He’s been so welcoming and generous bringing me on this trip. I guess I’m just… really happy to be here. It’s the first real vacation I’ve had in forever, and everything feels magical.” Lily searched her face, not entirely convinced. “It’s more than that. You keep finding excuses to be near him. At the pool, at breakfast, even on the boat just now. And Dad’s been weird too quiet one minute, then super intense the next. Did something happen between you two? Like, did he lecture you about college or something?”

Ash obviously knew him, seeing he was here in his house, but what connection did they have, and why was he at Richard's house? “Your Dad wants to see you”. He continued, walking towards where we were seated. “OK. I'll be there in a minute”, Ash said, facing him. “You two related or something?” I asked, looking at the guy intently. “Lol, Nah”, Ash responded. “He's one of the Bodyguards my Dad has employed since that incident. You know him?” he asked. “No. He just looks like someone I've seen before”. I replied. I was trying to be careful for him not to realize that I recognised him.

He announced. Asher is the son of my father’s friend. Dad had always feel indebted to him and I can't fathom why. Unlike me, he doesn't have a mother and a father and pretends not to care about people. I don't know how but I can see that beneath the bad boy he portrays, he has a good heart, more like my brother which made me wonder why he's interested in this wolf hunting stuff in the first place. "What do you mean by action?” I asked wondering why dad called him instead of calling me.

Dad and mom came inside the room and mom rushed to Asher, well, as much as she could rush with her big belly. “Ashie, you’re okay. I was so worried. O my baby boy.” Mom said, crying. Even dad’s eyes were wet, “we missed you Asher.” Mom stepped to the side, to let dad speak to Asher. “I am doing this the right way. This time, I want answers.” Dad growled, “and then I’ll punish whoever tried to kill my son.” Asher smiled at dad, “thank you, dad” Asher looked slightly embarrassed when he asked, “did you rule that girl, Mona out?”
