the captain asked, puzzled, eyes glued to the iPad. While the captain focused on his Ipad, he never let Kaizer out of his sight. That calm, impenetrable poker face returned, a shield masking whatever was brewing behind it. Anyone else would have trembled. Anyone else would have cracked under the weight of suspicion. But Kaizer? He was a storm held in check. “Did... did I say Kaizer Salvador?” the captain asked confused, looking at his peers. “You just said Kaizer Salvador,” he said, voice sharp. Kaizer immediately turned to him, bowing.

The captain starts off being bothered by the uncomfortable and deafening silence between them. “That would depend on your actions.” Karilaya could not help but scoff having to deal with a question that seem to be about the prince’s beast-like form. “How so?” The captain had this weak smile as he looked at her. “If your the same controlling and manipulative man as the prince then I don’t think we will be able to talk like this,” She says directly at his face not holding back. The captain let out a chuckle but then turned quiet as he turned his eyes back to the now subsiding mist in front of them.

“What an interesting choice.” The captain was taken aback by the comment, and floundered a response. “I, er, was I mistaken?” he stammered. “I apologize… I, uh, what should I call you?” “Whatever suits you,” Lucifer said, and waved off the question dismissively. The mercenary captain looked around nervously at his officers in search of answers, but none of them had one for him. Instead, the captain cleared his throat and adjusted his stance. “I… look, I understand that you love to play games,” said the captain, “but now isn’t the time. Our fleet’s taking a serious beating. If this keeps up, we’re gonna lose our charge, and our contract’s gonna get voided. We can’t afford that.”

I looked around and saw a tall, muscular guy with dark hair walking out of the shadow. I recognized him. He was the captain of the school football team, a blazing sports star that was famous across the country, playboy number one, and practically a male whore. Lucas Sigler. He was wearing a tailored suit, which fit him perfectly everywhere except the part of his upper arms. It took me a while to figure out that Lucas Sigler was actually talking to me because he walked straight at me in front of everyone. "You..." He lowered his head and stared at me, looking intense.

I’m the football captain but The dean rarely calls except it’s important. After dressing up in my jersey, I honored the dean call and the reason why he called was to inform me that the coach wouldn’t be coming so I have to take the team for the training section. “Why can’t she come. Is she okay?” Curiosity got the best of me and I asked without thinking. Shit! I mentally shot myself. “Hmmm...” the dean folded his arm giving me an amusing look. “Since when did captain Sabastian begin to care about people huh?”

Elijah chided, though there was more affection than anger in his tone. He held her tight, as if afraid she might slip away from him. "You're going to live. We still have a lifetime together." Such sweet words. Unfortunately, they weren't meant for me. I doubted I was included in the future he spoke of. Just then, an urgent voice crackled through the boat's radio. "Captain Jensen, come in! This is Staff Captain Oscar Baker. We've completed the headcount, but one person is missing. We're turning back to look for them."

Oh my God. It dawned on me at that moment… Lucas already lost the captain's title… There's no way Coach is letting Kianeffing Maddox go. “Everyone gather around.” The coach's voice came as he hugged Scott, “That's my boy. I am really proud of you.” “And to everyone on the team. We have our new MVP and captain of the team. Kian Maddox.” The coach announced. The rink erupted with cheers and whistles. Lucas threw his helmet on the floor, getting everyone's attention.

The man was crawling away, bleeding, his helmet cracked. "Who sent you?" Jack growled, pinning the man to the floor with his boot. The captain coughed blood. He looked at Jack’s face, then at his mutated arm. His eyes widened in recognition. "He... he said you would come," the captain wheezed. "Who?" "The other one," the captain grinned, his teeth red. "The Perfect One." Jack frowned. "Subject C?" "He calls himself... Cain," the captain whispered. "And he sends his regards."
