The phone on the wooden table vibrated briefly, its screen lighting up with an incoming message from Hazel. Jonah Bennet, who sat with his jaw clenched and a purplish bruise at the corner of his lip, looked down at the line of text on the screen.
His eyes widened instantly. He immediately stood up. However, before he could leave the table, a large, heavy hand landed hard on his shoulder, forcing him back down.
"Hold, Bennett," Coach Muller growled, his red face betraying a rage that hadn't subsided since last night's incident. "You two, talk."
