The second she saw me, she snapped it shut and smiled like she had not been planning world domination just two seconds earlier.
Finally, I decided to push.
I found her in the garden, the sunlight catching on her hair, making her look almost… innocent. Which was hilarious, because she was anything but.
“You are in a good mood,” I said, slipping into the chair across from her.
Sandra smirked, sipping her coffee. “Am I not allowed to be?”
I leaned back. “Depends. Usually people do not smile like that unless they’ve just buried a body or stolen a fortune.”
