As I fall, a massive white wolf emerges from the shadows, its pristine fur marred by splatters of crimson. The coppery scent of blood fills my nostrils, growing stronger as the creature approaches, lips curled back to reveal razor-sharp teeth. The hunger radiating from it is palpable. No, not hunger – ravenous, all-consuming starvation.

The wolf growled loudly again and jumped out of the bush, revealing itself. It stood on a stump and howled loudly, facing the moon. Steph felt her heart pound in her chest. Her wolf's fear combined with her as she stared at the wolf the size of a horse, very large. It came down and walked towards her. She gulped as she moved backwards, away from the river. The moon was full so she could make out the wolf's features. It was a silver-lined wolf with bright red eyes. The eyes shone in the dark, it looked so scary, Steph knew she couldn't win even if she fought. She had to let her mother know who it was.

I will kill them. But suddenly, something explodes from the underbrush. It isn’t Frank. It is a huge white wolf with blue eyes and boy does it look pissed. It knocks me out of the way. I notice how its fur reflects the moonlight. I have never seen this wolf before and I can’t look away. He is beautiful. The White Wolf bares his fangs as he advances on the three wolves. They whine and scatter. Their tails are low, ears pressed back, as they slink into the shadows like a scolded puppy.
