His Head almost gave in to take a look back, but then the next sudden crushing sound made him flinch. Something had been crushed… And he was sure it wasn't a stick. Rachel’s choked up groan that soon disappeared as fast as it came made his skin cold. The first crushing sound soon became a repetition of five, then ten. After a while of listening to Rachel's quiet sniffle and a silent gasp that told him she wanted to scream but couldn't, Dylan's next words confirmed his suspicion.
