"We're off now. Take care." Everyone watched as the pair left. Steel had prepared a car for them, along with two barrels of gasoline, some rations, and weapons. In light of the pairs’ abilities, they had chosen a lightweight car as they needed speed over defense. After loading their luggage into the car, they sped toward the city gates. Steel called out, "Open the gates!" The gates swung open and a group of guards stepped out, firing at the monsters that were attempting to enter. Adrian quickly drove out of Novemton, navigating through the surging sea of monsters. After that, the city gates closed.

We turned left from the avenue/street onto what looked like the entrance into a separated part of this mini city. I looked at the huge, metal...almost jail like gates. Guest quarters huh? "Fuck!" Brian screamed behind me. I whipped around to find him holding his hand which was glaring red and looked blistered. I walked up to him in two quick steps and assessed his hand with my own. "Oh did I forget to tell you not to touch the gates? They're silver..." He said and chuckled. I wanted to glare at him but kept my cool.

The speakers took a long time to turn back on. The speaker replied, “We will be with you in a moment; please step aside from the gates while we open them.” Before the gates began to open automatically, there was a tiny beep. Judy entered the compound by taking a step forward. Small plates on either side of the road were fitted with light bulbs that lighted up the roadway with a yellow burst of light, illuminating the way leading to the mansion's entrance. The gardens were difficult to see because of the dim light that accompanied nightfall.

She drove to the home with the plate V515 and opened the rare lights. The gate beeped and opened by itself as she drove to the tiny compound into the underground private parking space.

Travis hurried back into the car, and took control of the steering wheel again. My jaw left hanging loose. It was so beautiful, like the ones usually seen outside the five-star hotels and at the center of public central parks. It even had LED lights that made the water glowing in red, blue, and green colors.

But they could see that the myriad-colored lights were pouring out of a stone portal. The entryway hewn from the rock of the mountain looked ancient and old with hardly any engraving or markings. The gate, it seemed, was closer to finished than any of Bryn's estimates had suggested.
