More tears fell, but somehow the enormous weight of her loss seemed a little lighter. “What are you doing?” Nolan demanded. With a small yelp of surprise, Violet turned around quickly to face him. What was his deal? Realizing she’d been crying, Violet tried to clean her face before he might notice. Though, he would have to be blind not to notice.
