I gave a signal to my Beta. As she was dragged out, her screams echoed through the entire building. “Rylan! You’ll regret this! She’ll never forgive you!” Three days later. The Shadow Dungeons, deep in the Black Forest. This was where the Blackrock pack imprisoned its worst criminals. It hadn’t been used in centuries. The dungeon was buried deep underground, its walls made of special silver-laced stone that could completely suppress a wolf’s powers. I walked down the slippery stone steps, my footsteps echoing in the empty space.

But as I looked back, I saw the glint of a familiar eye, as well as the shimmer of his dusty silver fur as he ran with the wind. Bloody tarnation. I turned around and ran faster. As panic started to overwhelm me, my mind racked for a plan to turn the situation around. This feels like a game of chase, like a cat chasing its mouse. But what if, the mouse is more than just a scared, dim-witted prey? The dungeon is close to the border. I know the cells are coated with wolfsbane, the poison for werewolves. And since wolfsbane only works on wolves, I, a human, will have no problem with it.

A deep, deafening roar that felt like it came from the depths of hell suddenly echoed through the dungeon. The sound carried warning and lethal intent, along with a dominance rooted deep within one's bloodline. The entire dungeon seemed to tremble from it. The color drained instantly from the guards' faces. Their bodies locked in place as if frozen by a spell. They didn't dare move at all. A massive silhouette slowly emerged from the darkness behind them. It completely blocked the doorway. It was a wolf. A giant wolf. Its fur was black and flawless. It was as if it could absorb every trace of light around it.

She stood still, trying to resist the force but it overwhelmed her and forced her to the ground. "Arrrhh!" She roared as she changed into a Witch-Wolf, as huge as a bear. She jumped around with force, sniffing around her. Some men were sitting at a corner, drinking from some bottles on the floor. They were speaking gibberish as they nodded their head from left to right in rhythm to music playing from a Small stereo. "What is that thing by the corner of the road?" One of them asked with squinting eyes, pointing at a creature by the road.

Like two behemoths, they collided, and the green grasses on the ground fell victim to their battle.

It made me think about how many could be walking around right now and I couldn’t accurately tell. “It would be nice to be able to know what types of creatures are in the area,” I think out loud. Alec looks glazed over for a minute then looks back at me with a smirk. “There are 4 wolves nearby, 1 light witch who’s not very powerful, and 2 bears.” It takes a minute for me to regain my composure before I can respond. “You motherfucker! Are you kidding me right now? Can you really tell that information? What, do you smell them or something?”

Underground dungeons were one of the best ways to contain wolves, they took them away from any open space to plan their escapes and blocked their senses, the silver bars were typically ingrained in the concrete so it was practically impossible to tunnel under or around them and the confined space made it easier to smoke wolfsbane into the cell, rendering the wolf helpless. From what I could remember of the old map, the previous alphas had their dungeons placed under the centre of their territory for easier access to it.
