author pov Demon was hiding in the woods and watching the wolves from the three different packs work together. He watched as some worked to build new houses, barns, sheds, and even a new school for all of the new children. The hospital was being added on, and the firepit was enlarged with a second fire, with more tables, chairs, and benches. He wondered why they needed such a large fire pit and so many places for people to sit. People, or wolves, as Lorna had taught him, were strange. They mostly were with each other doing things all the time. They fought pretend wars with each other, which they called training. Demon didn't have to ask why they did that, he knew from what had just happened

Someone yelled from behind us, but standing before us were at least four hungry-looking demonic werewolves with long limbs and mouths, growling darkly. “I think your witch sent them as a gift for you without realizing we’re here,” the She-wolf, Den, said, and it clicked. The witch wanted to kill me–for whatever reason–using tainted wolves. “Can you fight?” Den asked me, but before I could respond, we heard a loud shriek from behind, then the sound of limbs tearing. Then another, and another, and before long, the tainted wolves had killed a larger number of the rogues, while the rest of us focused on evading their attacks

The princess continued, and I couldn’t help but sense a hint of sympathy in her gaze. “Your Highness, rumors say that the Wolf’s Den is where the Moon Goddess banished the werewolves, but from what I’ve read, it’s only described as the cursed place of every generation of werewolves. Moreover, it seems that the location of the Wolf’s Den constantly shifts.” The records I’d reviewed were vague, providing no clear explanation of the Wolf’s Den's origin or its true nature. “I want to understand what the Wolf’s Den really is,” I said, locking eyes with Cecilia.

“It doesn’t matter. I won’t be a part of it.” Veil’s expression softens, and she reaches out to place a hand on my shoulder. “There is another way, an old method that’s not used anymore.” “What is it? Why didn’t you bring it up before?” I asked. “Deep in the forests, on our pack land, there is a wolf den,” Veil explains, as she begins to skin and prep the deer. “Many wolves that have been abandoned by their humans, or wolves that are about to die, go to the wolf den, where no human forms are allowed. The place is supposed to be blessed by the Moon Goddess. ”

He would have to take his pack back when we leave, and it won’t be easy for him. “What would King Thorin do when we arrive at his village with a real wolf pack?” Teo laughed. I didn’t think the wolves would go that far though it may be out of their territory. The pack moved higher up the mountain and we followed. They led us to their den, a large opening between two rocks – it could hardly be called a cave. There were a few cubs and omegas, the lower ranks looked after the pups. At first, they were wary of us, but soon welcomed us and the pups sniffed at us, being curious.

Haden The Valley opened beneath us like a scar we kept digging. The Den was the same as when we’d left, rails rusting above it, smoke curling from chimneys, wolves on the ridge to greet their Alpha back. We hadn’t even stopped before the pups came running. Bare feet slapping against stone, squeals loud enough to echo. Little hands grabbed at my pants, tugging, climbing, their voices spilling over each other. “Alpha’s back!” “Did you fight lions?”

Juliette’s POV The storm outside hadn’t started yet, but inside the Wolves’ training facility, the tension crackled like lightning waiting to strike. The moment we returned from the underground lab, the pack scrambled into motion. Guards shifted positions, Beta wolves secured the perimeter, and medics rushed my mother into the infirmary. The Wolves — both the shifters and the human players — gathered in uneasy clusters, whispering, speculating. Everyone could feel the shift in the air.

But alas, Mom needs my help today and I promised I’d pick her up some hot coffee on my way over to help warm her up since we’re in the middle of Autumn and in Denali, it’ll only get colder from here. Luckily, Denali wolves are built for this kind of persistent wintry climate being that we’ve been living on these snowy-capped Mountains for centuries now that we've grown almost resistant to the cold. It also helps that we're especially known for having white, fluffy fur coats in our wolf form that protect us from the worst of the winds, compared to our other shifter neighbors. I follow reluctantly behind Becca as we enter the Beanery, my mood dwindling with each step we get closer to the worst

Wolves that did not carry the scent of Silver Moon. My mother wasn’t anywhere in sight. There was just these wolves and I knew one of them was a woman. Had they purposely lured me out? There was no time to think as I got into action. I gripped the dagger tighter as the first wolf lunged at me. I ducked, narrowly avoiding being ripped apart by his claws. Stepping aside, I avoided his second attack. Then I slashed down with my dagger, slicing through the wolf’s side. I aimed at his torso next but this time, he knocked me off my feet with a growl.
