I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds. We only went with our instincts, and our nostrils that could go lengths, while vampires could do their stuff, and even read minds. That was what Xander could do, he usually read the minds of people, those girls that loved to he around him, and just took their heats and read them. Though he wasn't able to do that to me most of the time, I knew that I couldn't have done it either. Why the hell was he suddenly gloomy, and why was he looking that way?

She didn't say anything else after that. Joyce curled up in my arms as Mom and I grabbed our guns and headed to the second floor to shoot the unwelcome visitors down. Meanwhile, Emmett guarded the door on the first floor. The gate fell open with a loud crash, and chaotic footsteps stormed into the yard. It didn't take long for someone to step on the nails scattered all over the place. They howled in pain. The noise attracted the roaming zombies, who flooded in and surrounded the group. Several seconds later, all that was left was the sound of the zombies groaning and blood on the ground.

After that, a different kind of satisfaction came across me. I enjoyed hunting these human hunters, thus, killing 10 werewolves and being the youngest and best werewolf hunter. Rendall killed 8 werewolves which are also not that bad, Quinn is setting poisonous traps and putting some on the bows granting her 4 kills. We make a great team. “Let’s go, Raffi.” I turned and saw Rendall brushing his mid-length hair using his fingers. “Are you going on a date?” I asked him as I scanned his clothes.

A soft smile lay on my lips as I looked at her. "So, you're Sierra's self-proclaimed lover?" the zombie said blankly as he looked at the pages of his book. He was reading a psychology book. I noticed that he had a lot of those on a shelf on the left wall. "Self-proclaimed?" I said lifting an eyebrow. He never answered after that and I got a bit agitated. I knew he was not trying to mock me because he still had not emitted an emotional scent. What the heck is this zombie thinking?

“What are you doing? Kill the thing!” Kendra’s eyes locked with the zombie’s as a wave of energy moved from it to her. She somehow knew what it was thinking and feeling. Its lips weren’t moving, but it’s voice was clear in her head as it asked her what she was. She wasn’t a human, but she also wasn’t one of them. The walking dead creature was completely baffled. As was she. Darting past her with superhuman speed, Rex drove a knife into the zombie’s skull.

Callie and Dan suddenly appeared in the doorway, both wearing vicious expressions. Each of them held a gun they had stripped from a zombie. “Xavier, didn’t expect this, did you?” Dan sneered. “Since the zombies have surrounded Ruth, tell me, who’s going to save you?” Callie’s face twisted even further. “You b*tch! I’m going to carve up that pretty face of yours and throw you outside to feed the zombies!” I looked calmly at the dark barrels pointed at me and asked, “Are you sure you want to do this? If Ruth comes back, you’ll die a very ugly death.”

The freshman dorms — Hawthorne Hall — loomed like a tomb under the blood-red moonlight breaking through the storm clouds. Screams poured from every window. Glass shattered. Bodies slammed against doors from the inside. Kael led the charge, still shirtless, his wounds from earlier already knitting closed thanks to werewolf healing. “My little cousin is in there,” he growled, voice raw. “Or… what’s left of him.” Damien moved silently at his side, crimson eyes scanning the shadows. “Sentiment will get us killed.”

Her eyes then bulged at the sight of me, the sound of a gasp entering her lips before she looked at Xander. That was the last thing I saw before he closed the door, cutting off most of the light that was entering into the room. I could barely see anything more than three feet ahead of me. I took a long shaky breath as I turned towards Xander, freezing under his suddenly confident gaze. His mossy green eyes shone through the dark as all vampires eyes did. His familiar grin made a quick appearance, instinctively making me take a step back. The slim hope I had of those files even existing quickly disappeared.

Vic answered the system. "Sure! Vic!!" "Okay. I'm Sternly Vic." "Just who am I and who the hell are you!"

Zahra and Rylee nodded; their eyes glinted curiously. Then, Lucas released the Apocalyptic Legion from System Space. Biggy the Zombie of Godly Boxer, White Doll the Zombie of Steel Limbs, Scarlet the Zombie of Polar Ice, Rayne the Zombie of Petrification, Sven the Zombie of the Ghastly Sword, Skeletal Lady the Zombie of the Big Clean Sweep, Rexy the Zombie of Godly Gun, Molly the Female Zombie King, and Aruna the Doll-like Zombie. The nine Honorable Ranked Zombies of the Apocalyptic Legion appeared before Zahra and Rylee.
