he said quietly, “has never listened to anyone. Ever.” He looked back at me. “But he listens when you speak.” I nodded through my tears. “That’s because we are bound,” I said. “By fate. By the moon. By blood.” Jason fell to his knees in front of me. The red in his eyes flickered. Not gone. But weaker. “My whole life,” he whispered, “something has been missing.” He pressed a hand to his chest. “It feels like you took it,” he said softly. “But it also feels like you are it.”

Why was life so unfair to me? Jason was Lana's fiance.

He held me so tightly, promising, "I don't believe in fate. I only know that you are the love of my life." I had believed him. Every memory of our love felt vivid, still so close—yet now, he had abandoned me for another woman without a second thought. I didn't understand. Was fate truly something we couldn't fight? Had it really pulled him, irresistibly, into Grace's arms? My whole body ached, each breath felt like fire. I couldn't tell whether the pain came from the wound or from my heart. Darkness fell like a curtain. When I came to, I was lying in a hospital bed.

“Let her go.” Garith tsked him. “Now, why would I do that?” He grabbed my face as he twisted the knife. “We already know she is dead. She has been stabbed too many times with the knife. Even if you wanted to save her, you can’t.” Garith’s face was triumphant. Rowan chuckled darkly. “If she dies…so does everyone here.” Garith pulled his arm from me. “I still get what I want.” He shrugged as his hand slid the knife from my stomach. “You will be too shattered to lead, and the brotherhood will ensure my son takes his rightful place as king.”

“I didn’t put you in this situation. Fate did.” Her laugh was sharp, biting. “Convenient excuse. You and Kade both seem to think you can use ‘fate’ as a leash to drag me wherever you want.” A growl rose in my throat at the mention of my twin. Kade. The other alpha. My rival in every sense of the word. “No, Aria,” I said, stepping even closer. “Fate isn’t a leash—it’s a bond. One you feel just as deeply as I do. And you owe it to yourself to figure out what it truly means.”

Jason said. "Do you know Vera, Fiona's friend is dead?" Jason asked and Julia shook her head surprised. "Guess who killed her?" he asked, "James?" Julia asked. "Yes. The transformed James now kills," Jason said. "He did change. Yes, for the worse," he said and Julia's hand covered her mouth. "Look, he knew I would find you and he doesn't have the upper hand in this attack he had launched. He told you this just to buy himself time," Jason said.

“I will send Sean and the others to accompany you on your way back to the kingdom. Don't worry because after I settle everything here, I will follow you immediately.” A deep breath escaped from my mouth just because of Jace's words. He was really determined to continue his plans of passing the Red Moon Pack to his brother, Joshua just because of me. I don't want Jace to choose me over his responsibility but knowing him, he won't listen to me. He will do what he planned and there's nothing I could do to stop it. “You should be extra careful. Enemies are everywhere and Damon was still alive. We have no idea what he is planning now but I will make sure that he will never win.”

He was like drunk and Riley finally looked at Jason. "Your man also likes me this time and you can't do anything with what you do. This means fate." Jason stood up, approached Riley and tried to suppress her. "Just look at her face. She's so carried away by what I'm doing, you won't get anything else. You'll be left behind and become an old woman alone." Jason laughed as he came closer and held Riley's chin. Glancing at Riley's eyes was sharp, she hated the man in front of her.

her eyes were misty as she asked. "Zenia, I want you to know that we are fated" He replied instead "Fated?!"she scoffed. "What fucking fate?" "I do not know why, I do not know how I got invovled with a feeble human like you, but all I can say for now is that we are fated"he continued despite her reaction. "The fate you talk about has destroyed me!"she yelled, tears finally leaving her eyes. "Maybe because you run away from it" he suggested.

He took off his glasses and asked as he looked up at me, "What do you say we kill George Diable?" I frowned. "You're back?" "The Black Falcon is back," Jason smiled. "Thats great. This is your place so I guess you and your new buddy can come in," I stated bluntly. I walked out to the yard and took a deep breath. I wasn't happy to see Jason. Especially after what he said, what he did, what he allowed to happen. It broke my heart to see him again. That man, I once considered a brother was the reason I lost all my friends, the reason my girlfriend is afraid to drive.
