"Congratulations, Sis." she added giving me a hug as well. "That isn't really the reason why I’m here though. Mr. Smith just called… their flight has being changed so they will be here by 12 noon tomorrow." Janet said.

Only Jason could have scoured the territories and flushed them out—if he still had his powers. But Jason was broken. Powers gone. Memory fractured. Heart drowning in guilt. I pull him all the way onto the landing, dragging him into the shadows of a quiet corner away from the prying eyes below. I spin on him, my chest heaving. "What are you doing, Jason?!” I hiss in his sinfully handsome face. “That is my stepsister!" Jason stares back at me, untouched by my rage. He adjusts his tuxedo. "Er, okay. I know that. She's my fated mate, and she's going to be my Luna. Why are you yelling?" he asks. I gasp, staggering a step back from him as if I’ve been physically struck. Hearing those words come directly from his mouth is a thousand times more painful and shocking than watching him from a distance in the Grand Hall.

He stands to his feet, moving a few steps away from the couch with his back towards me like earlier. I swallow the lump in my throat. "Ar-are you okay J-Jason?" "I'm fine." He takes in a deep breath, before continuing to answer my question. "That mark bonded your soul with he's and soon you'll start to feel the need to be with him. You may not want him now, but soon you will. The bonding of your souls will force you two together." The last of his words come out through clenched teeth.

Jackson bellowed as Jason stares at the grass, trying to hide his rage. "I am sorry, but I have yet to decided on that part of your futures," she whispers lowly Jason's mind begins to piece together the nightmare of a life they are being given. His rage consumes him before he glares up into the Goddess's eyes. "So we are being punished for their past. We get no mate, and we will have to watch our loved ones die... one by one.," Jason says with a snarl, and Jackson grabs his shoulder but grits his own teeth.

“Wait… you don’t think…” Suddenly, Odo, Idris, ReNew, and Destiny appeared, all pulled into the illusion. “This nightmare has a six-foot-tall lunatic with a machete!” Charlene cried out from somewhere in the distance. “He’s killing people at this very lake!” “If you die here, you can die in real life, right?” Odo asked, growing pale. “We’re not people,” Idris said. “We’re Fates.” “Do you really think that matters?” ReNew snapped. “He’s not going to ask if we’re human or Fate before he chops us up.”
