The white light of its hull flickered to a nauseous, pulsing green. ​"The ship’s internal processors can't handle the biological data!" Lyra’s voice cheered through the radio. "You’re giving them a century of evolution in a microsecond!" ​The Harvester’s gravity-wells buckled. The massive ship began to tilt, its crystalline arms shattering under the pressure of the rapidly growing moss. It let out a sound like a dying star—a high-pitched, electronic wail that shattered every window in the Vancouver ruins. ​The Crash ​The ship didn't fall on the Anchorage. It fell on the Siphon.

The horror that stared back at us was indescribable. We stood together in a small circle, comforting each other. Malachi was crying openly as he held Garrick’s body; he’d gotten some of the children out just before the explosion and had in return offered himself while Stephanie helped. She had refused to leave him and they had died together. James and Shoran were inconsolable and I just held both of them.

They grabbed onto railings, abandoni‌ng t⁠h‌e cargo crat​es they were trying to pry o⁠pen.

The corner of Adrian’s lips suddenly curled into a cold sneer. In the next moment, a loud bang was heard. Adrian pierced through the floor deck with his foot as if he had channeled a load of force into his leg. Rumble! The ship swayed violently and a gush of seawater surged into the ship. The whole ship shook left and right violently until everyone on board lost their footing and fell to the ground. Water surged into the atrium. Shadow was astounded, never expecting something like this to happen, all his men toppling over from the swaying of the ship and the sudden surging of seawater. The scene was thrown into chaos.

Ten seconds to zero. The system’s piercing countdown abruptly cut off. A crushing sensation of weightlessness smashed through everyone’s stomach. Gravity parameters failed completely. The Leviathan’s tens of thousands of tons of steel skeleton lost all braking force, tearing through the deep-sea current and slamming violently onto the pale-gray seabed of the Eden ruins. BOOM! A devastating physical shockwave overturned the entire vessel. Tactical terminals and scattered metal components broke free of gravity from the control console, floating midair—only to be violently shredded into lethal fragments as the impact wave tore through the cabin.

Her body trembled violently, her skin radiating heat. “Stay with me, Ava,” he said urgently. She clutched his shirt, gasping. “It’s inside… the baby. It’s trying to ” Before she could finish, the ship dropped like a stone. The artificial gravity vanished for a moment as they freefell through the storm. Morgan fought the controls, teeth gritted. “We’re going down!” Liam held Ava against him as alarms wailed around them. “Brace!” The world spun clouds and light and sound collapsing into a single, deafening roar. Then, with a violent crash, everything went black.

Grappling hooks were starting to fly from the other ship, locking the ships together. “Cut the Ropes!” Claire yelled as she pulled the wheel hard away from the ship. The ship creaked as it tried to follow orders but there were too many ropes holding it to the other ship. Claire narrowed her eyes at the ship. It had jet black sails with a crescent moon on them. At the end of the crescent moon a star was dangling. Claire felt a strange feeling of dejavu. Did she know this ghostly ship? She looked down at the lower deck and the men were frantically trying to free the ship. Each time rope was cut it was magically replaced with another. They clearly had done this before.

Cracks actually appeared in the two-story building! The Malian navy ships that were floating on the sea were clearly sinking slowly. Cracks that were several feet deep had appeared across several decks. Caine had been standing opposite Sebastian, and he felt as if he was carrying a huge mountain on his back. He landed on the ground in an instant, forming a one-foot-deep depression beneath him. Horatio looked on in disbelief. He was dumbstruck. He wasn't the only one. Even the people on Dramon's military ships were looking up at the sky in fear.

(SOFIA QUISPE’S POINT OF VIEW) "Run, Nomo! If you don’t move now, you’re going to be part of the scrap heap when this hull hits the ground!" Sofia screamed, her voice barely audible over the groaning of the Seraph’s Sorrow. The ship was dying. Without the Soul-Gem, the internal gravity had failed, and they were stumbling through a corridor that was tilting at a forty-five-degree angle toward the snowy abyss below.

Terminus was the thing moving. "Orbital decay has begun," Andros stated. "The vessel is entering Earth's atmosphere." As its emergency power failed and its own immense weight tore it apart, gravity slowly began to catch the edges of the ship, pulling at the vessel with invisible fingers. The Earth's influence, incredibly pervasive, pulled the ship ever slightly downward into its domain.
