“Polly! Where the fuck is my Luna?!” “Zayden, keep it down and don't scare my sister!” Suddenly, Ronan’s voice was heard as he strolled into the room. Just like the twins, Ronan had gray orbs and his posture was imposing. He looked just the same age as the twins and he had a handsome rich appearance. Ronan marched forward to stand before his sister, shielding her from the mad looking Zayden. “Step aside Ronan.” Zayden said calmly and Ronan scoffed.

Ronan was the son of that brutality, and from the look in his eyes, he didn’t regret it for a second. But something about that stare. It didn’t burn. It pulled. Low in my chest. Sharp and wrong and undeniable. He stopped three paces from me. Just outside of striking range. Or kissing distance. Gods, that thought was fucking cursed. “Kellan Reed,” he said, voice like gravel warmed in a fire pit. “You must be Ronan Draxmere,” I said. “I expected someone taller.” His smirk was slow. Dangerous. “And I expected someone smarter.”

Phelan asked as she bites her teeth against her lips. “He has been good, but am not sure whether he will let us go out and see Edon introduce his Luna.” Zeff answered back, swinging and raising his shoulders to the air foolishly. “I'll try convincing them!” She said, raising her first fingure in the air as she fell in a short deep thought. Zeff's palms were warm, that made Phelan get out of her bed. Stretching and slowly raising and then lowering her legs to the floor. She stood for a second, recomposing her minds and quickly moved towards the entrance of her room.

The idea of having to deal with the elders was something that I didn’t want to think of, and knowing that Nathan would have to hear of this eventually worried me, especially since it meant that there was indeed someone giving our information to the elders, and whoever it was, I knew that this person must have been close. Ronan started, his posture tall and commanding as a true future king. "I want to thank you all for traveling to our lands for this year's annual banquet. As the primary organizer of this event, I must admit it was a massive undertaking. But the reason tonight has been such a massive success is because I didn't do it alone. I had the privilege of receiving invaluable help from someone very special." He turned his body slightly, extending his hand toward me and pulling me right up to the center of the stage beside him. Jax rolled the window down with a shaky press of the button. They stared at each other through the open space. Close enough to taste each other’s breath. Ronan’s voice came out low. Rough enough to scrape. “Get out.” Jax swallowed hard. “League said no contact. You know what happens if—” “League can fuck themselves.” A shaky, exhausted laugh escaped Jax. “You’re gonna get us both suspended. Maybe worse.” Ronan braced his forearms on the window frame and leaned in. Heat rolled off him in waves—cedar, smoke, alpha. Jax’s gland throbbed in answer.

“Alex, I’m at the park. Ronan is here with men.” Ronan’s expression darkened. “Still relying on your savior, I see. It won’t save you this time.” Headlights appeared at the park entrance. Alex’s car sped in, followed by two security vehicles. Doors slammed. Alex stepped out, his face hard with anger. “Step away from her, Vexler.” Ronan’s men hesitated. Even with power and money, Ronan knew better than to escalate in front of witnesses. He raised his hands mockingly. “Just a friendly chat, Alex. No need for drama.”

So… Caelan and the woman are Kieran’s parents. And Ronan… Ronan is his brother. Which makes him Maven’s and Raven’s father. The realization hits me like a rock in the chest. Before I can string the thoughts together, the scene ripples and shifts again, following Ronan storming down a narrow hallway, his footsteps sharp and furious. At the end of the corridor, a tall man stands waiting. Younger, but still recognizable. Alpha Alex. “Alex, we need to speed up the plan,” Ronan hisses, barely containing his fury.

I could only speculate as to how the entire experience must have appeared to outsiders. "So, how is Ronan acquainted with Kyle?" I asked as I got out of bed. I had to get ready for training.
