Chapter One

Introductions

My name is Loralei Alston and I’m a hybrid, not just any hybrid though. A Royal Alpha Lycan and Princess Mermaid. And any day now my mother the current Queen of Andora and my Aunt Nahla also Queen, since they are twins, will be handing the title over to me. I’m ready, I was born to be Queen, I have been training my whole life for this moment. My grandparents the previous Queen and King have taught me a lot about our Kingdom. My mom and aunt have prepared me, it’s my birthright and I’ve spent most of my summers in my beautiful Kingdom of Andora.

I hope to be a great Queen, as great as my predecessors, my grandma Cora made Andora the biggest and most powerful Kingdom of the Four Mermaid Realms. My mother Selene and aunt Nahla have made Andora even bigger in size and for the first time in supernatural history Merfolk are allies with the Lycan and Werewolves. My dads are the Alpha Lycan Kings Xander and Xavier, they are fearless and powerful.

Sometimes I feel like I don’t fit in, unlike my parents I’m shy. I know right, me a freaking Alpha and Princess, shy and timid. Now don’t get me wrong I’m no walk over, I’m trained in the art of weaponry and combat. In all three of my forms, human, lycan, and mermaid. I have several gifts, but I’m known by my people as kind and sweet. I’m stern and just when I need to be, but I hardly ever have to be.

My mate Jack is so amazing, I found out he was my mate on my thirteenth birthday, when I shifted for the first time. I knew he was my mate but he did’nt, I’m a few months older then him. It was extremely hard to not tell him and when he shifted for the first time and learned I was his mate, he was over the moon. Jack and I have been best friends since we were born, we’re inseparable, he was surprised at first that I didn’t tell him, but he understood why.

Jack is not only my mate, but he’s a hybrid like me and our parents are best friends. When I take over as Queen of Andora, he’ll be taking over the position of Advisor to Andora, he’s next in line as the first born of his mother, the current advisor. We’ll be making Andora our permanent home and we’ll finally mark and mate each other. Our souls will finally be bonded for eternity, I am his and he is mine.

My lycan is beautiful, her name is Lyla and Lyla’s personality is the complete opposite of mine. She is opinionated and fierce, I love her so much. She and I have an amazing bond, we never fight and we’re always in sync with our emotions and feelings. Lyla is definitely an Alpha, she’s been wanting to mark Jack since we found out he was our mate. The last couple of years have been even harder for her, she can’t wait to mark him. His lycan Marlo is also excited, he’s more calm but just as fierce and protective.

Several times during our make out sessions with Jack, Marlo has taken control, not that I mind. Marlo is very sensual he pays attention to all my wants and needs, whereas Jack is more dominant and rough. They are the perfect combination, they complete Lyla and I. We can’t wait for tonight, we have waited long enough and I’m ready to live my life.

“We look beautiful”, Lyla said with her wolfish grin. I stood looking at myself, my reflection on my full sized mirror.

I was getting ready for our party, the beginning to my happily ever after. I wore a beautiful violet dress to match my eyes, the sequin sweetheart floor length dress was stunning. My curves were definitely on display, my full breast covered, my small waist but round ass looked amazing. I usually wore something more simple, but my mom made sure I looked amazing on my eighteenth birthday.

“Jack won’t be able to keep his hands off of us”, teased Lyla, making me blush.

“I wonder where Ava and Aria are”, I said out loud. Ava is my best friend, she is also mated to my twin brother Lennox and Aria is Jack’s sister, she’s a year younger than us.

I sat at my vanity and began to tame my dark raven curly hair, I decided on a messy bun, leaving some stray hairs out to frame my face. I only put on some mascara and nude lip gloss on my pouty lips. I was feeling nervous, I don’t know why, but I felt like something big was going to happen.

I stood up to get my shoes when my bedroom door was flung open, a frazzled looking Trent barged in. I was shocked and confused, what’s this about, his eyes were dark, so I knew his wolf was in control.

“What are you doing here?”, I asked confused.

“Mate”, was all he said, I knew he was fighting for control, his wolf was coming forward.

He can’t be my mate, Jack is my mate, what the hell is going on? I was to shocked to think or form a single thought.

“I feel the sparks, don’t you?”, Lyla asked, confusion evident in her voice.

In my shocked state I couldn’t process anything, I looked at Trent’s hand on my waist, I can feel the tingles spreading throughout my body. How was this possible, I would have known when I first shifted. Lyla was quiet, so I knew she was just as confused as I was.

“Babe, please come to my room”, I mind linked Jack, the panic evident in my voice.

“Are you okay? Lei baby, I’m on my way”, he answered and cut the link.

I had to talk to Jack, I had two mates now, my thoughts were interrupted by the masculine deep voice of Trent.

“Loralei, I would never hurt you, you are my mate, please look at me goddess”, Trent was looking into my eyes with so much love and I knew he was right, he is mine too.

When leaned in to kiss me I completely panicked. “What the hell are you doing!”, I screamed.

“I’m not your mate, are you crazy!”. Trent looked hurt by my words, but he couldn’t just kiss me. We had to figure out what was going on.

My shouting must of alerted my brothers, next thing I knew Lennox and my twin brothers Adonis and Ares barged into my room.

I could hear more people running towards my room when Trent dropped onto his knees in front of me, neck exposed in submission.

Lycan and Wolves never exposed their necks to anyone, other than their mate since it was an easy way to get your throat ripped out.

“What the hell did the Moon Goddess do?”, I asked Lyla.

“Looks like we have two yummy mates”, she responded matter of factly.

“Are you serious right now? Now is not the time”, I scolded her.

“He wants us, he’s submitted to us”, she rolled her eyes at the obvious.

She was right, I needed to talk to my aunt Mariana to see what’s going on.

“He’s a playboy”, I said to Lyla, realization hitting me all at once, I have another mate and he didn’t even wait for me.

“What the hell is going on!”, roared my brothers at the same time, their Lycan’s fighting for control.

Trents eyes were getting dark, his wolf now trying to come forward. “Don’t you fucking shift!”, my dad Xavier commanded.

“Daddy”, I ran to him, I felt safe in his huge arms.

My other dad Xander was looking around, trying to analyze what was going on. I could see the look of confusion on his face.

“What on the goddess’s green earth is going on?”, my mother commanded, looking at Trent.

“She is my mate, Luna”, Trent responded to my mom, his head bowed in respect.

“Son, that just isn’t possible”, my father Xander said, walking towards Trent.

“She already has a mate”, my father Xavier added coldly.

I felt the vibrations in his chest as he held me, I knew Kane his lycan was fighting for control. My dads and their lycan’s are extremely protective of us and my moms.

“My wolf Magnus kept me up all night, turns out he felt Loralei when she turned eighteen. She is my Mate Alphas”, Trent quickly explained.

Everyone looked at each other confused, what the hell was happening.

Just then Jack walked into the room, “What the fuck are you doing here”, he was walking towards Trent, I knew his lycan Marlo was fighting for control.

His eyes looked for me, pulling me from my father and into his chest. Trent growled lowly at him, I knew his wolf wasn’t angry at us, I could feel Magnus just wanting me to accept him too.

“What is your problem”, roared Marlo taking full control, shattering a few windows from the ferocity of his roar.

When Jack shifted for the first time, he shifted into a gorgeous blonde Lycan, his father Lee is a wolf, but his grandmother is a lycan and his grandfather is a wolf. He inherited his lycan from his grandmother. Marlo was usually calm, but when it came to me he had no remorse, he wanted to kill Trent for being near his mate.

“She is my mate too, asshole!”, Trent shouted. Jack looked at him surprised and turned to look at me, I could feel the tears ready to break free like a dam.
